I should have paid attention to the SIZE! These are double the width of a regular roll of packing tape, which is great if you have a tape gun that can accommodate them. Lol. The worst part is that the glue seeps out of the edges, causing both sides of the tape to stick together when the roll is laid on either side before you even peel a strip of tape to use. It's a nightmare to store because it sticks to everything.
However, getting it started is a simple task: good coverage on 3 inch tape, and only one line of tape is required - Getting a new roll started, on the other hand, is like fighting with a three-year-old - You are well aware that you should win, but you are unable to do so.
Two of the six rolls had a flaw that caused them to peel in a diagonal pattern, as if they had been cut at an angle. I peeled about an eighth of an inch into each roll, but it still tore at an angle every time. br>br>The other four rolls were fine, and I'd give this tape a 5-star rating. If it weren't for the problem I mentioned earlier, I'd give it five stars.
This is most likely the worst tape I've ever encountered. Very low cost. If you aren't careful, it will come apart in strips. In a pinch, it'll suffice, but I won't be purchasing it again. It's not worth the trouble.
My shipping life has improved dramatically since switching from 2" to 3" wide tape. Instead of using multiple strips of tape, I can now get a good tape seal in just one pass. I purchased the red Sparco dispenser, which is an excellent tape "gun. " "It doesn't even make that horrible noise if I turn the tension down and pull slowly (using these Amazon's Choice tape rolls). " Now I'm going to write a positive review for the tape "gun. " This dispenser, as well as these tape rolls, come highly recommended. This Amazon tape is less expensive than the one I was using, and it is wider and sticks better. It's not quite as thick as the original, but it's still strong enough to ship.
Instead of using the Scotch 3M tape, I decided to try the Amazon tape. That was a huge oversight. It's difficult to deal with. It wasn't easy to cut. I spent more time attempting to deal with it than the 3M tape cost difference. This is a tape that you should avoid purchasing. Spend your money and time on Scotch whisky.
Unfortunately, by the time I realized it, the return window had passed. They have a strong odor of hot rubber, are easily torn, and are far too sticky. I'm not going to buy these again, and I'm currently throwing them away.
Boxes are not adhered to by this tape. The tape isn't adhering to the surface. After a couple of days, this occurs in all of my boxes. I'd return a roll if I hadn't started using it (but then I'd have no idea it didn't stick)! It was a complete waste of money.
