Questions & Answers
There are too many comments and questions about the packaging for this item! The letter opener comes in a plastic sleeve attached to a plastic pressure strip at the top that pulls open (with a bit of effort.) Good luck after you remove the plastic pressure strip and remove the thin (but tough) plastic wrap
I apologize, but this letter opener does not come packaged
Thanks for visiting. There is a Chinese label on this product.

The envelope opener is perfect for the job! It is hard for me to imagine my mother at 93 years old. . . The law office lost it, so I replaced it with this and she was very pleased with the replacement. We all know how difficult it can be to please an old person.
It's too dull to use, so I cannot use it. You shouldn't use a letter opener to wedge papers (which is what it is intended for). I agree it's attractive, but whoever gave it great reviews hasn't used it, or at least doesn't know what a letter opener should be like. A butter knife is better than a pliers for opening envelopes.
This tape does indeed work under the lip of the envelope because it is thin enough to get under it. The key to successful cutting is having a thin blade. I like how well the handle feels in my hand.
This is an excellent product. This is heavy duty stuff!.
The pros are Stylish* Sharp but not so sharp as to be a threat* Sharp but not too sharp to cause injury**Cons - Metal is flexible - I work fine for cutting regular letters and package tape, but if I need to cut tougher materials, I'm concerned the blade will get bent.
* Stainless steel would be a far better option. I should note It is difficult to unwrap the letter opener since the whole device is tightly wrapped in plastic. I see it as releasing the updated tape, but 50 times bigger.
It's my fault!.
