This product is a work of art. It is well-crafted, well-weighted, and makes an excellent gift. I only gave it 1 star because I believe it needs a thinner blade or an edge I find that portion of the letter is too rounded, which makes it hard for the letter to open smoothly. Although the purchase was costly, I am still very pleased with it. There cannot be a better vendor for Amazon than this one.
Despite its simplicity, this letter opener impresses with its overall beauty and functionality. This tool is very user-friendly and does an excellent job of opening envelopes without putting fingers at risk. But it would be nicer and more beautiful to repeat the design on the other side, so that when you put the opener in a drawer after use, you don't have to worry about making sure the design faces outward all of the time.
There was a nice box for it. The peacock does have a nice luster, but it's hard to see it in these photos since the lustre is like mother-of-pearl. It's only the quality of the metal that has disappointed me. A pit in the metal caught my eye. It isn't exactly noticeable right away, but there are signs of it. However, the opener is not as sharp as I would have liked but it works just fine. In my opinion, I probably would not buy this item again and I probably would not give it as a gift unless it was white elephant.
I'm in love with this! Sadly, I had to return my first one since it had a dark streak in the mother of pearl, but the new one is exquisite. The letter flap is not sharp, but it is sturdy and thin enough to fit under the letter. The difference between my hands and the computer is huge.
There is a very good balance between its weight and its feel in the hand. If you are looking for a gift or a personal order, this is definitely something you can consider.
In a lovely gift box, as if one has received a wonderful gift, it is beautifully presented. I love it.
After ordering several letter openers, I have found this one to be the best. Strong, beautiful, and easy to open Others are a little grittier and jagged, and they need to be used with care. The design of this one is nice to look at as well as working well.
