Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the Sanyo kso 951 model?

Sanyo has a number of codes, but we don't have information by model number. If it's a small-scale operation, There's a good chance it'll work if you split the difference. You can return it for a full refund if it does not work.

Is it compatible with a carrier split system air conditioner?

Although this remote lists several Carrier brand codes, we cannot guarantee that they will work with your specific model. You can get a refund if it doesn't work for you.

Is it suitable for climate change?

I'd try the auto program feature, which supports up to 2000 models. You have the option to return it if it does not work. I had an out-of-production ACE model that worked perfectly for me.

must a code be set?

Yes, you must enter a code that corresponds to the type of air conditioner. The instructions go over it in detail.

The product appears to be of good quality, but all of the features do not last
3/5

I read the reviews, and the first one I received worked perfectly. The clock began to malfunction after only a few weeks. Hour 12 would not be shown in the morning. Seconds worked fine, but when I got a replacement, it didn't show 12 at any time of day. If you don't mind not having a timer on your air conditioner, go ahead. What else could go wrong, I wondered? It was simple to set up and operate the air conditioner. To bad.

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I JUST GOT A BAD ONE? This was purchased to replace the remote that came with my air conditioner
3/5

The package arrived in record time, and when I opened it, I discovered a unit with the dreaded "YOUR HANDS WILL BE CUT TO SHREADS!" message. " The plastic packaging is difficult to open. It turned out to be a lot easier to open than I had expected. BUT, after that, I put in two AA batters, waited 10 seconds, and then turned on the machine. There was no action taken. After several attempts, the LCD screen finally lit up, displaying one number at the top and a partial number at the bottom. This partial number was, I believe, displaying the room temperature, but it was displayed correctly. I took out the batteries, reinserted them, and repeatedly pressed the on/off switch. FINALLY, on the bottom of the LCD screen, I was able to read a complete number. On a side note, MY CONFIDENCE in this unit was rapidly eroding. Next, read the so-called Instructions are what they are called. Things would be clearer if my CAT wrote them down. The instructions stated that when setting up the unit for your AC, you should press the numbers on the keypad that corresponded to your AC. There isn't a keypad, so there's that. At the very least, none that showed numbers. Although there is a keypad, each key is assigned to a specific operation rather than a number. I tried making educated guesses about the numbers, but that didn't work either. Shut down the machine and reread the befuddling instructions, this time slowly, as if English were my third language. OK. I went through the entire procedure once more. To turn the unit on, I pressed the rocker switch and. . . VIOLA! …. There was no action taken. I tried a few times and couldn't seem to get it to work. VIOLA! VIOLA! VIOLA! VIOLA! VIOLA …. The screen came back on, and I was able to see the partial number once more. Changing the temperature from C to F and the symbol for FAN were the only two switches that appeared to work. Simply put, I was either demonstrating my ignorance by failing to comprehend the instructions or. …. I couldn't follow the instructions as written because I couldn't understand them. I believe it was ALL THREE of them! I tried a few more times to put new batteries in, this time using the on-board charger. Pressing any combination of buttons, turning off the light, tapping the screen, incanting some Voodoo I remembered, and turning off the light. Putting the unit back in its plastic container, filling out the return form, and sealing the package for a RETURN were the only things that worked. Overall: The unit is very attractive, feels good in the hand, the LCD screen is large enough that you won't get squinty eyes trying to read it, and the color is vibrant (I purchased the gold tone). However, the unit's operation was a complete disaster: muddled instructions combined with inaccurate descriptions made for a frustrating experience. This device had the potential to be both attractive and practical. Instead, it landed in the "why did I buy this?" category. " In the end, it was a huge letdown. Also, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR PURCHASE.

The remote controls that came with the system were not to my liking
5/5

I'm the proud owner of a Pioneer mini-fridge. Two 24,000 btu WS interior air handlers are used in a split system. The remote controls that came with the system were not to my liking. I was frustrated by the lack of ability to set a start and stop time until I came across a remote that did. I decided to give it a try. To indicate a connection, the remote looks for codes and beeps. I discovered that code 0259 is ideal for my units. I had no trouble setting off and on times. br>One thing to keep in mind: Ascertain that the remote is pointing at the device. My class has an average of eight students. The remote must point upward instead of lying flat on the coffee table because it is 5 feet off the ground. For my other Pioneer WS air handler, I bought a second remote. I'm very happy with the remote, especially considering how inexpensive it was.

Some of my units are compatible with this
4/5

I have a Sanyo ductless system with three units. The two smaller units can be controlled with this remote. The first code I tried for these units was, in fact, correct. All of the important features were operational. The smaller main unit, on the other hand, is incompatible with this remote. I tried each and every one of the codes. They weren't any good. And it was for this main unit that I purchased the remote. Fortunately, I was able to locate the original remote, which I had assumed had been lost forever. I decided to keep this remote as a backup because it works with all of the other units. Sanyo's decision to make a separate remote for the main unit baffles me. It is what it is, and there is nothing that can be done about it.

This is a fantastic product that took very little time to set up and connect, and it performs admirably
5/5

It only took 2 minutes to install the batteries and connect it using the code provided with the instructions. In our home, we have LG wall air conditioners, and the remotes that came with them eventually died and would not respond to batteries. I prefer these because they provide more options and make it easier to read the current room temperature vs. the AC temperature, as well as the time and other information. We also use the timer option to turn it off after a few hours of use at night. My only criticism is that they are a little large, but since they are mostly displayed in their carrier on the wall, I don't think it's a big deal.

This brand was and I have a SoleusAir air conditioner
5/5

My air conditioner is a SoleusAir, which is not among the brands covered by this remote. I decided to take a chance and buy this remote anyway, hoping that the auto code search function would find something that would work with my unit. It finally worked after a long period of auto code searching when code 286 was discovered. I'm glad I didn't have to wait until code 2000, because that appears to be the maximum number of codes it can search. It would have cost $45. if I had to purchase a remote from the original SoleusAir manufacturer. I was able to save quite a bit of money thanks to this universal remote.

With my Soleus LX-100, it worked right out of the box
5/5

140! This remote is absolutely incredible. I was concerned that it might not be able to support my Soleus LX- Portable Air Conditioner with 140 BTUs But, after inserting a couple of AAA batteries (not included) and pressing the "on" button, my air conditioner turned on immediately! It didn't require any programming on my part. Luck? I'm not sure what I'm saying. I began pressing other buttons to see if it was a fluke, but all of the features were operational. The heat and cooling buttons are fantastic (I'm not sure why the original remote didn't have them), and the back lighting is fantastic, especially since I use my air conditioner in my bedroom. With the original remote, it was quite inconvenient to have to turn on the light in the middle of the night to adjust the air conditioner mode. That will no longer be an issue for me. I'm giddy with joy.
