Based on what I now consider to be unjustified negative reviews, I decided to purchase the phone. I'm glad I gave this set the opportunity to show me what it's capable of! br>Here are some of my favorite features:br>There are two cordless telephones included, but only the Primary Unit requires access to a modular telephone jack. The Satellite Unit only requires an AC outlet and is connected to the Primary Unit's modular connection automatically. br>A clear and easy-to-understand message appears on the screen. When a call comes in, the read display illuminates, so I don't have to turn on the lights to see who's calling me late at night or in a dimly lit room. br>If I see a robo-call on Caller ID, I'll ignore it. When a call comes in, I can turn off the ringer on that specific unit without having to answer it. br>You have a choice of ten different ringtones. Without muting the Satellite receiver, I can also set the phone ringer of one receiver to mute and program how long it will stay mute. If I need to, I can add more receivers to the set (available at Amazon). Negative reviews should be ignored. br>br> This is an excellent phone set that I wholeheartedly endorse!.
No matter how long it's been on the base, it's only allowed to stay for 45 minutes at the most. It takes about 35 minutes to fully charge. No matter how long it's been on the base, it's only allowed to stay for 45 minutes at the most. br>br>This phone has been in my possession for about a year. The charge has been failing since the day I purchased it. When you're on it, it sounds great and has a good range, so those aren't issues. The battery, however, will not last more than one long phone call, regardless of how long you leave it charging. It perishes in such a short period of time. br>br>In addition, if you charge it all night and then forget to return it to the base, it will be drained and dead by the end of the day. Even for a brief use, it takes hours to recharge. I'm in the market for a new phone. br>br>It's not something I'd suggest.
I'm glad we decided to do it! Set- It only took about 5 minutes to set up. We didn't really need the instructions except to set the date and time because the handset's layout is large and intuitive; we have a smaller 1800 sq ft house and I walked to every corner of it and never went out of range. In fact, I'm still able to speak freely in our garage and driveway. The base stations are small and take up little space on our counter, and the handsets are comfortable to hold. This set is perfect for almost any family. There are very similar sets with more units if you live in a big house.
Why did I buy it? I honestly never imagined I'd need to purchase another hardline phone system. However, a landline was included in my recent "package deal" with my cable provider (and was actually cheaper than not having a phone line). "What the hell?" I wondered. I'll purchase a phone now that I have a phone line. " I didn't need a top-of-the-line, high-functioning cordless phone; all I needed was a cheap and effective cordless phone. " br>br>Shipping: br>br>Shipping: br>br>Shipping: I recently had a bad Amazon shipping experience and a 2-day delay in receiving my package. The product was shipped the next day and arrived in two weeks. I believe it took about 18 hours for this order to arrive at my house. That is probably the most exciting aspect of this order, because I have no idea how it arrived so quickly. br>br>Quality: You get what you pay for, which suits me just fine! It could just be that I haven't used a cordless phone in a long time, but the components, while functional, appear to be a little "light" and less solid than something you'd pay more for. The buttons are a little sluggish, and you don't get immediate feedback like you do on a smartphone. It's not a huge deal, but it caught my attention. br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: br>br>Install With clear instructions, it's a piece of cake. There are no issues. br>br>Features: I simply plugged it in, and that was the end of it. My provider allows me to set up voicemail, but I have yet to do so and am unlikely to do so in the future. Would I buy it again? br>br>Would I recommend it to others? Yes. It's a good price, it's simple to set up, and it works. Is there anything else you could want?.
As a result, a phone that had the potential to be excellent has been reduced to a competitively priced phone. If this is how VTech does business, make sure you get exactly what you expect from their products. Let me give you a couple of examples. br>br> Here's one that irritates me a lot. They claim to notify you when you get a voice message in their product description. AT products that are similar When I was shopping, T and Panasonic used both a message on the handset and an LED to accomplish this (please confirm today). They don't have a light, so there's no way to tell if you've picked up the phone without picking it up. That is, take a step back from what your grandparents had on their tape player. It doesn't sound like much, but it's a voice-activated answering machine. Consider the implications in terms of messages that aren't delivered. The phone can be programmed with a message number, but it is not synchronized with the other satellite phones. Once more, my AT That was the case with T-Mobile. Other examples can be found. br>br> They APPEAR to have saved a penny wherever they could by removing a feature you "wouldn't miss. " The issue is that I miss each and every one of them. I also miss the slightly improved dialing mechanism, as well as the simpler way I could dial. This phone isn't bad. The audio quality is adequate. I am understood by most people. The phone's battery life is adequate for my needs. I only have range issues in two rooms, which is adequate coverage for this phone type.
