Definitely one of the best VoIP phones for personal and conference use
5/5

This phone model is something I purchased several years ago for employees at my office. It's worked well as a conference phone for up to three people round the phone and as a phone for the office. Despite the low quality of the sound, the sound The caveats of VoIP phones are the same for all of them. The first thing you have to do before you can use a VoIP phone is configure the VoIP server, which, in this case, is Asterisk, to associate the phone's MAC address with its It won't work as a normal phone so if you remove it from the package, plug it in, and start talking you won't be able to start talking. The VoIP phones transmit the voice over a packet-based system. An alternative to the circuit is to switch the Internet- POTS use an old telephone network (switched network), which is a network with switches. The packet contains - Considering switched networks do not use a dedicated electrical circuit, it is fairly common for the amount of time it takes to transmit voice to or from a VoIP phone to vary. Voices can be temporarily dropped out as a result of this variability. In order to mitigate service issues with this phone, it has a configurable and adaptable jitter buffer that can compensate for these irregularities by buffering up packets during times of delays and "shrinking" it when there is no signal. A second consideration when purchasing Polycom phones is to be aware that firmware and configuration file updates are only available to customers of Polycom authorized If you want to keep your Polycom phones updated with the latest software, buy at least a few phones from one of these resellers. Firmware and configurations can be updated through a TFTP server, so all you need to do is add the latest firmware and configuration files to the server, reboot all the smartphones, and they are automatically updated.

A version of Polycom IP 550 designed for use with iSave
3/5

In general, this model is a great The item I purchased from iSave did not come with a power supply, nor was it brand Already configured, it was ready to use. I was able to determine that the phone was pre-configured when I contacted my service provider and had them try to provision it It is configured for a different network provider. I found the steps required to reset back to factory defaults on the internet after failing to receive assistance from either iSave or Polycom. There is no end-user support for Polycom products and there is no support offered for iSave products. I do not believe they are authorized Polycom resellers as Polycom states they are responsible for their resellers providing.

I love my new phone The purchase was a good one
5/5

Another office had one of these phones, which I used for about a year before moving to this office. As with my first unit, the sound quality continues to be great throughout my second unit and I have had no issues with either device thus far. In order to get the larger (more information) LCD display, I paid a little more for the higher model. It also was very important to me that the voice had HD quality, but I suspect there are lower-priced models with This is a great phone that I highly recommend, and I will buy more for our office as I need them.

I would like to see some improvements to the navigation on this phone
5/5

*If a call is coming through, you can't navigate phone during an incoming call - I wish the navigation would work when a call is coming through. The way to navigate the phone is to ignore the call, and send the call to virtual memory or wait until the call stops ringing, and then ignore the call, and send it to virtual memory.

It is impossible to activate this phone because it does not have an updated device certificate
3/5

It is not possible to use this phone because it has an invalid device certificate. It was too late to return by the time we figured out what was wrong.

It's the best IP phone I've ever The phone I use at work is used for more than 8 hours a day
5/5

The best IP phone I have ever used is this one. I was a bit skeptical of switching to a Polycom phone after using mostly Cisco IP phones (7000 series). Yet it was without a doubt one of the best decisions I've ever made. I found it to be half the cost of a Cisco, and the speakerphone was far superior to the Cisco model. It sounds crystal clear on the speakerphone, according to people on the other end of the phone calls I think it is even clearer now - Compared with the handset, it sounds better.

Some phones were not shipped with the same operating system. It has been a busy weekend of upgrading. I am unable to give a detailed description, but other than that, my phones work great.

VoIP phone is a great product
5/5

The web interface makes the setup easy. It takes little time to deploy. An Asterisk server can be accessed by each line separate from the other. A very good call quality can be found.
