Questions & Answers
My unit did not include an AC power supply, which is standard. If you don't have a PoE switch, a PoE injector is a relatively inexpensive way to get external power if you don't have a PoE switch.
Yes, it is well-backlit and usable in low-light conditions. Due to the lack of illumination on the keypad, some memorization may be necessary.
Yes, Vonage might be an option. Because most people use a Power over Ethernet switch, the phone comes without a power adapter.
Is this something that you've tried before and found to be effective? In the same way, I'd like to do it.

RESELLER BY THE ANKLES IF YOU WANT. If purchased on Amazon, the product quality is 10/10, but the product support is 0/10. br>5 out of 5 stars because the product is excellent. There isn't any help at all. Let me begin by saying that I am a huge fan of Polycom products, especially as a managed service provider. Their items are straightforward and of excellent quality. Polycom phones, in particular, I believe, offer an excellent balance of quality and price. br>br>Polycom, on the other hand, has a very strict warranty policy. If you're buying in bulk, I wouldn't recommend purchasing Polycom phones from Amazon. Polycom has stated that it will not directly honor warranty commitments. Only the Amazon Reseller has the authority to initiate RMA procedures with Polycom Global (assuming they are authorized to resell Polycom products to begin with). Here's an example: br>br> br>br>Hello Edward,br>br>Thank you for contacting Polycom Global Servicesbr>br>Your system is under warranty only, according to our records. br>br> Your Polycom VVX 411 comes with warranty support from your supplier. br>br>Please contact them and give them as much information as possible about the issue with your system. br>br>When contacting your supplier for assistance, make sure to include your system serial number. In the event that an equipment fault is discovered, your supplier will be able to arrange for a replacement unit to be delivered. br>br>Also, feel free to look through the resources we have available to you (such as our knowledge base, software and product documentation, and other useful information) on: br>br>As per Amazon policy, our Support Portal has been redacted. br>Our Support Forum has been redacted as well. br>Best regards,br>Erikbr>Polycom Global Servicesbr>br>Having said that, I've purchased a number of Polycom phones through Amazon and am very concerned if something goes wrong with them. I've already paid out of my own pocket to replace a customer's broken phone. I was oblivious to Polycom's warranty EULA because I had not read it. br>br>I'm hoping that this review will help future Polycom users.
It works great for our HAM MESH network, and the voice quality over the air is excellent. Definitely outperforms another HAM's ATA device, and despite not being listed as including a power supply, mine came with one, saving me the cost of purchasing one separately. br>br>My only criticism is that this phone is extremely large and difficult to transport, with far more features than are required for our MESH network. Despite this, it performs admirably and remains our preferred voice solution on MESH.
I used this phone with a freepbx/pbxact system for a short time. Provisioning proved to be a non-issue. The call was of excellent quality. The features aren't as tightly integrated for freepbx as they are for a sangoma or yealink phone, in our opinion. If we were to go all-in on poly, I'd fiddle around with the directory to make it work. However, I would definitely purchase this phone again. It takes up less space than the s705 sangoma and the yealinks we've tested in the same class.
I don't use it enough to justify buying a replacement because I use my iPhone and iPad as speakerphones instead. br>br>Firmware updates haven't resolved the issue. br>br>I don't use it enough to justify buying a replacement because I use my iPhone and iPad as speakerphones instead. br>br>.
Changing from an analog to a VoIP setup For our church, it was a big deal. The system provider was able to assist me with phone usage, which was beneficial. All of the buttons function properly; however, I am unable to locate a phone number that was previously used to contact the church. I use the phone system provider's app to look up previous phone numbers. I'm not sure how to get in touch with technical support for these phones. br>br>Amazon, I'd appreciate it if you could send me a phone number via our email address on file.
I purchased 15 of these Polycom VVX411 phones for our new hosted VoIP system because they are a great value for the money. I used to have Cisco phones, but these Polycoms are far superior in every way, and installation was a breeze with the help of my IT vendor. PoE is used by the majority of my phones. There is no requirement for a power supply.
It's fantastic that Skype and Teams are integrated. This phone has helped me save a significant amount of time and effort. The ability to join meetings with just one button for Skype/Teams and even Webex is fantastic. Most of the time, Polycom's BTOE software performs admirably. Occasionally, the phone will reboot during or just before a call, and it will take an eternity to get back up and running. This is a minor annoyance, but the feature set more than compensates.
I bought five of them, and they've all worked flawlessly with RingCentral's VOIP service.
