1. The anker can be muted, but you will not appear muted in teams. To put it another way, you can double-mute yourself by first muting the speakerphone and then muting the teams window.
2. Calls are not answered or hung up using the speakerphone's phone button. Support informed me that this is not a supported feature, which is disappointing because other puck-shaped speaker phones do. br>br>Overall, it's really good hardware; people have told me I sound almost indistinguishable from 10 feet away when compared to sitting one foot away.
No, I do not believe that is true. A PC adapter is required for the Bluetooth connection. When two computers are connected to a single computer - It will still not work because the PC will have to choose between the two.
You can connect the speakerphone to your computer without the dongle if your computer has Bluetooth.
Yes, you can listen to music while using it as a speaker. However, the PowerConf is primarily intended for conference calls, and the speaker for playing music is intended to be a bonus feature rather than a primary feature.

Hardware is very nice, and it feels very solid. It appears to be metal on top and plastic on the bottom. br>br>Quality of sound is excellent. I also tested how well the mic picked up your voice from an 8-foot distance, and it was nearly indistinguishable from a 1-foot distance. br>br>However, when it comes to conference app integration, it has a few major flaws. I use Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex on a daily basis and can attest that they all work the same way: 1. br>br> The mute button is separate from the mute option in the conference app. If you use a laptop to mute, you won't be able to unmute it. This isn't a deal breaker; I've taken to leaving the app unmuted, but it's not ideal. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br You can't pick up or end calls with the device; instead, you must use whatever app you're using to do so. If you use the button to make a phone call, it will work; however, conferencing apps will not. This was confirmed by customer service. This is a huge letdown given the price, as there are better options. Jabra . This feature is available. Hopefully, they'll be able to include it in a future firmware update.
It stopped pairing with the bluetooth after two weeks of use as a teacher. I contacted the company, and after some troubleshooting, they determined that it was defective; they offered to send out a replacement, but I was within Amazon's 30-day return policy, so I exchanged it. However, after two weeks, the new one did the same thing. I used the speaker to instruct my students. My students at home said the mic quality was "okay," but not as good as the built-in laptop mic. " I had hoped that the microphone would pick up everyone in the room as well, but it didn't. " However, if it had stayed paired, I would have kept it because passing the device to a student to talk was far less inconvenient than turning off the speaker for them to unmute and then turning it back on to avoid feedback. I really wish this device would stop unplugging.
It's returning to its previous position. I just got it this morning and charged it. I was able to easily pair it with a MacBook Air and test it out with Microsoft Teams. Even with the mic volume turned all the way up, the people on the other end complain that they can barely hear me. The same issue occurred when I paired it with an iPhone 12 Pro. The firmware was updated to version 34 using the mobile app. Although 73 increased my volume slightly, the people on the other end report that it is extremely muffled. On the plus side, the speaker is loud and clear, but the microphones pick up only a few voices. It's right in front of me on a table that's only 18" wide! This was supposed to be a replacement for my old Jabra 510, which had a battery that no longer held a charge, but it's a complete failure. It's possible that I'll need to purchase a new Jabra.
On both my end and the other end of the zoom meeting, the sound quality was excellent. The volume control was simple to use, and the sound quality was excellent at any volume setting. As our dogs barked during the zoom meeting, the noise canceling worked extremely well. The person on the other end of the line not only heard them, but also understood everything we said. br>The device can be connected to the computer via a Bluetooth USB dongle or a USB cable.
I'd been battling virtual meetings on my laptop all day, every day. My laptop's audio was poor, and I struggled to hear in all meeting platforms (volume was generally too low). I began my search for alternatives and found Anker. I put off buying it for a while, convincing myself that I could get by without it. I finally decided to give it a shot and placed an order, and now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long! It's a night and day difference. I can hear very clearly now (went from volume at 100% to volume at 25%) Others claim to be able to hear me very clearly as well. It relieves some of the pressure and effort associated with all of these virtual meetings, and I am now more at ease. I've tried it on a variety of platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Skype) and it's worked flawlessly on all of them. This is a game changer and well worth the investment for someone who spends the majority of their day on web meetings. It's literally plug-and-play, though I had to change a setting in each platform to use it (it clearly identifies itself as Anker, so that was simple). The only drawback I see is that when you press mute on your device, it does not show up as muted in the conference (you must mute there), but this is just an extra step that I don't mind taking given the vast improvement in audio quality. Although I was less than 18 inches from the unit, listeners on the other end of a Teams call said it sounded like I was distant and the audio wasn't loud enough. I bought this one specifically because it claims to have 6 mics for 360 degree coverage, but I found the audio pickup quality to be just mediocre. For comparison, I have a HuddlePod Air and a Jabra 510, both of which have one microphone and have better microphone sensitivity, noise cancellation, and overall call quality, though the output isn't as rich as the Anker.
It's great for not having to wear headphones and attending meetings; however, it's necessary to speak a little louder so that everyone can hear you; however, it's fine, and everyone knows that you won't be able to compete on equal footing with a diadema in that respect. br>What I didn't like is that it doesn't connect with iPhone (at least not with mine, which is an 11 Pro Max), and that frustrates me.
It's extremely lightweight. It compares favorably to some of the most expensive corporate audio conferencing systems on the market. It was also small and portable, with its own case that featured an imprint for the USB tag in the cushioning. It has professional-grade quality and response, as well as a long battery life and the ability to use it while charging.
