As far as I can tell, the Surface PRO 3 runs a full version of Windows, and it has a USB port, so yes, this scanner should work just fine. As a result, you will have to either use a wifi hot spot or a USB flash drive to provide the installation drivers, because you won't be able to use a CD. Obtaining the software is easy since the manufacturer's website provides it.

It did not come with any instructions or a cable for charging or connecting.
