It is a good printer for the price
4/5

We have to wait until Amazon approves the review before you can see the pictures. CD printing is the only purpose for which I purchased this printer As we are mailing Christmas cards to family and friends and trying to promote my daughter's singing career, I wanted to achieve a close to photo quality. Generally, I found it highly efficient in performing what it was asked to do. With the printer costing a little bit more than replacing the ink cartridges with the maximum capacity ones, it is impossible to beat it for this price tag The following information is meant to help you set up your printer efficiently and avoid a few mistakes you may make while using it, as the quick start guide is a bit lacking as well as a few things you should be aware of when using this printer. It fits tightly within the cardboard box, and you will be tempted to cut it with a box cutter Don't do it. The tape they used around the printer was taped to odd spots on the styrofoam, including things like ink, the software CD, and the power cable. If you're taking the box out on your own, get a helper to hold the box while you do it. After that, examine all the surfaces on the styrofoam for the ink cartridges (5) the CD, the manual and quick start guide, as well as the included power cord. Please note that The printer does not come with a USB cable, and having one will greatly speed up the setup process. There is the possibility of setting up WiFi only, but this is It's easy to make using a cable or you can buy one for a couple of bucks (many shops have them A wireless interface cable (Picture) connects to the back of the printer on the opposite side that has the power cord. With it you can set up your printer wirelessly and use it with all of your When you first setup your network device, it is common to need the network device to be tethered to a computer The process is usually easier for devices that do not need to be tethered. Remove the tape from all areas This tape is fairly obvious for the most part They are on the front to prevent the paper tray from rolling out, and on the back to hold the control panel, which tilts up and down so you can access the paper slots. There will be some stitches on the front (more on this later) and on the back to hold the thing in place. BE SURE NOT TO MISS THE INSIDE ONE! To lift the scanner glass, you must remove the scanner bed cover once that's done, you must lift the scanner glass up. Easily opened from right side, the doors hinge at back and are easily lifted from the right side at Two more pieces of tape and a bit more cardboard and styrofoam can be found inside the box on the right. Print heads are probably packed in these boxes during shipping so that they do not bang around. The cables are The USB printer cable must be connected to both your printer and computer in accordance with the directions from your computer manufacturer, then the power cable must be connected to your surge protector and the printer.

RUN THE CD You can also use it to print CDs - it has a CD printer as well This program lets you import your own pictures and add text or background if you so desire, as well as printing monitoring software, which is necessary to monitor your printer. Please fill out the following form to download the paper In order to remove the paper tray from the control panel, flip up the control panel, tilt the cover panel down, insert the lower cassette, then remove the paper tray. Oh my god, what's going on? I will explain a bit more now. The printer is capable of handling many types of material, and you need to keep track of where each goes in order to keep jams at bay. It's not a good idea to print CDs from shelves that contain papers or envelopes because CDs do not The top of the printer has 1) a removable CD printing tray that slides into its slot for printing when it has been selected (*when using, it can be challenging. When I first placed the printer, I thought I was forcing it), 2) the paper path output tray for envelopes and regular paper, 3) the envelope input tray for odd sized paper (envelopes, 3x5 photos, etc. ), and 4) the 8" paper tray. This is a 5x11 piece of It can be challenging to get the paper tray out, so slide the tray above it half an inch or more forward, then slide the tray When closing the paper tray, be sure to replace both trays so that they overlap completely! The only thing I noticed was that it only holds forty pounds I was very glad to have a laser printer for bulk printing since I could print 50 sheets at best! Be careful not to overload your website. You can put approximately 1/4 inch of paper in. Please read these three things BEFORE printing Please ensure that the rollers holding the paper are positioned properly on the back of your printer It shifted a bit during shipping, but it was easy to straighten it out by pulling out the sliding spring loaded release, pushing it back in, and putting it back in again The little assembly is inserted. You can use the software to print a test page In fact, anything that goes wrong in the future is entirely your fault if you don't do this If you want to know if your printer has a lemon or not, then you should do this. You should be able to proceed from here. The images I have included show the things I have explained, as well as an example of what the output looks like on Verbatim printable CDs at 4x magnification. The black line around the spindle side of the printable edge is on the CDs not the printer, and the round line at 1CM around the spindle side isn't visible with the naked eye. Now let me offer some thoughts Generally speaking, inkjet printers typically cost more per page than laser printers. When it comes to printing a lot, you need to think more about the cost of your supplies than the expected lifetime of the printer. The cost of printing 100 pages every year at is. It doesn't seem that bad to pay $15 per page, $15. 00 a year. Even if you print 10,000, you will still incur a charge. The best news I've ever heard. If you bought a printer, you spent less on supplies than you did on the printer itself Now is the time to invest in On the first refill I will use after market inks for this printer because it consumes quite a bit of ink. This is rated as a 13 on Epson's website. The cost of printing a page was 4 cents, but I noticed that the inks had to be cleaned once every seven CDs and once every 15th page. There's a lot of ink wasted in that process. According to my estimation, the cost will be Observations based on empirical data suggest that they cost around $20 per page. 2) As with all inkjet printers, if you look closely at the print you will notice some banding (horizontal lines) and dithering (graininess) but they have a great overall appearance to the naked similar to most other inkjets, a 4x6 photo takes 70 seconds, and a CD photo takes 36 seconds BY ALL MEANS, If the printer needs to be cleaned, you may have to power it down and turn it back on again. There was a long wait for the sucker to be ready again (I forgot to time it, but it was about 5 minutes). Additionally, CDs must be assembled one by one, which takes more time than printing them directly. 4) Other inkjet manufacturers sell their printers with just a few ink cartridges. This printer came with more than that too. Over half of my cartridge is showing as full on my cartridge status after printing 40 photo quality premium CD's. I would say that's excellent! - * I hope this review has been helpful in some way to you, or at least given you some insight Thanks a lot! Initially, my review was denied because I mentioned a brand name. It took me a fair amount of time to add all those shots, only for Amazon to disallow my review because of the brand of CD-ROM. I used R as a metric. In the 'Edit my review' dialog box, I don't see a way to add the promised photos, so I am afraid I won't be able to do so. We appreciate any help you can provide! It would be great if Amazon would fix this issue soon This printer is prone to some pitfalls that could have been avoided if you had taken photos.

You should not purchase Epson's products because they are engaging in extortion
3/5

I am a professional photographer and have used Epson paper and printers for more than 20 years. It was too expensive to buy custom ink, so I went with aftermarket. It was allowed to upgrade the firmware since the printer asked to do so. In the following weeks, it ceased to recognize the aftermarket Unlike software, firmware does not need to be uninstalled You've installed it. There is no doubt that this is an illegal act, because the courts have ruled Epson will no longer be the supplier of any products to me, and I request a refund for this one since it cannot be used. It gets one star just for telling the story, so I'll give it one point.

The printer is good for the money, but you'll need to find a good ink supplier
4/5

These reviews are almost worthless due to some aspect of their nature. This is especially true of strange negative reviews which point out silly or nonexistent The following examples could be used There is no straight forward way to load paper in the tray. It takes some time to set up, but with a methodical approach, it should be simple. ( You've got to be kidding me )

My experience is that it's easy to put together, but that it takes some time. The printer prints text clearly and fast. I have not used it to print photos or DVDs, so I cannot comment on My favorite feature of the paper tray is that you can load standard sheets of paper in one and photo paper in another, and then just leave both there once you have finished. A much better method than removing and reloading different types each time. It's frustrating to have no option to choose if text should be printed in draft, good or best. That's why some reviewers complain about the high amount of ink used. If you have to spend huge amounts of money on ink, it will always print at its best. You need to make sure to use off-brand In some reviews, it has been reported that it stops printing when the ink runs out. As far as I know, this printer automatically prints in black when a color runs out, but I have not owned it long enough to be sure. If you are printing a document with only black text it will print, but if there are any colors in the document it will not. Having the ability to print from smart phones is also a nice advantage, though I have not personally used this yet, although I have full confidence that it is a simple task that can be performed. As a final point, I am unhappy with the way Amazon packaged the printer I ordered and the extra ink cartridges using just one sheet of brown paper to protect them. Shipping eggs and a bowling ball together was as crazy as shipping eggs in a box with a bowling ball inside.

In just over 3 years, all of us have been living below the poverty line I had an average experience with this printer, which ate ink like there was no tomorrow

I can't remember how long this lasted. December 25, 2014, was purchased and today, dated March 1, 2018, was deceased. 'The ink pad in your printer has reached the end of its lifespan. Please contact Epson support. The printer should now be turned off'. Despite my best efforts, I have been unable to turn off the blinking light, so I unplug and come to look at the monitor. 1 .
. In just over 3 years, all of us have been living below the poverty line I had an average experience with this printer, which ate ink like there was no tomorrow. Observation 2. Having heard about this "ink pad" issue from Epson (which has nothing to do with ink purchased, but where does the discarded ink go, I was told? told me that this is an unusual warning for a printer of this age. Epson, you've had your day. That's all I have to say to.

Even though they still have a good amount of ink on I suggest that you stay away! I find this printer to be such a fraud
3/5

It is unacceptable for the company to have ripped off people without facing legal action. Their scam is that they make you believe that you must replace your ink cartridges before your printer can print again, even if there is still a good amount of ink Many sites on the internet offer you the option to buy a memory chip resetter to reset the cartridges, but why would I need to buy a third-party gadget that may or may not work with my cartridges that still have ink in them? It is my right to expect a product that I paid good money for to function properly and that a company won't try to scam me into buying more ink before I've finished using the one I have. The last Epson product I purchased is the last Epson product I will buy.
