Neither I nor my wife have the 5514 model, but we have a C309A, and the xl cartridge functions as intended.
I think this is a very apt A black and a color cartridge both have the same part number 5520 * On the package of the equipment there is a photo print cartridge with 'photo' label, and a normal print cartridge without it. In the beginning, I bought black at Costco and realized as soon as I read the instruction on the box that it was designed for photos, not for everyday I was able to switch 'photo' black ink for regular black ink without incurring any additional charges thanks to HP technical support. There is an 'XL' version that has additional ink that can print more pages and usually provides more savings over the 'non XL'
In this black cartridge you will find thick ink

This is what I bought for my house around June 1, 2018. My printing is limited (concert tickets, return slips, occasional instructions), so I print about 20 pages since the ink ran out. My ink cartridge is out shook and I have put it back in again, but nothing happens. I've ordered them, and I won't be ordering them My HP brand assured me I'm covered, but I guess that now doesn't matter.
You can use it for a lot of things. Used it less than a few times since I bought it in June of 2017. I have a printer that shows over 3/4 of its ink level, but prints like a lousy printer. Even though I have cleaned and aligned the print heads, this is still happening. When I am trying to print a shipping label from Amazon, there is a wave when it goes one way and when it comes back, The list goes on and Amazon will never again be a source of ink for me. When I run out of ink, I will stop by my local store. The money spent on this was a complete waste.
My HP laser jet printer works great with this ink from HP. In the past I have used inks that were not from HP and those that were recommended by Amazon reviews haven't fared much better. In the past month or so, I have even tried all the suggestions for making my printer work with generic inks but failed. As you can see, HP is trying to manufacture ink that people can buy at a premium. I agree that they work very well, but unfortunately they don't last very long ( which is why I'm not giving them It may seem strange, but one trick I use to extend the life of ink (when you get the message "Printer low on ink") is to use the "clean cartridges" function on the HP laser jet printer for the "low on ink" message. Using this method, you can use the same ink for an extended period of time after you get a With this approach, I've been able to get away two out of three.
I am very disappointed with the quality of the print. As soon as I put it in, It noted that I had not installed the correct I could not even see that it was working on the print out. Then I removed it and put the old one back in, and I was told that the old one was put in. There was an old one that I removed - As soon as I put in the brand new cartridge, I was told that I was using an old one. Next, what are we going to do - Although the print was brand new, it doesn't appear to be as clear as it should be. This product is not recommended. During its life span, it lasted only about two weeks before dying. The selection on Amazon is almost nonexistent, and the options are fairly little. There are only a few sites that sell the XL, which probably is the only one the 7520 can handle. There is no truth to this. As much as I'd like to give it ZERO stars, I can't.
Within a few weeks of purchase, I had this installed. Despite the fact that my printer registered as an HP product, it does not have ink inside. In addition to installing, reinstalling, and running the "clean cartridge" feature, I printed out the ink diagnostics and it still shows I would say that this is a scam. This is not a good place to buy. A RECENT UPDATE When I contacted customer service by phone about the return policy, although it was past the 30 days return period, someone sent a new cartridge to me. Until now, it has worked flawlessly. I tried testing the bad one again, and it is also not working. It will still be HP for me I'll continue to buy direct from them. Having read all of the reviews from customers who experienced exactly the same issue, it seems unnecessary to risk using it. According to my understanding, this is being sold directly by Amazon, not a marketplace partner. Amazon is tarnishing its reputation by consistently selling garbage printer cartridges to its customers. I do not understand why that is okay.
My husband bought a new print head and put one of the unused ones in the new print head to fix the damage created by these cartridges and they looked like genuine HP cartridges, but they ruined my print head. This is resulting in ink leaking from the head as well as across the table. My printer was essentially ruined by them. It is now necessary for me to hoof it 20 miles to Staples to buy the supplies there Since the cost of the item, the time to get there, and the gas used will increase the price of the cartridge, and I have yet to figure out if my all-weather tire will still work, the cost of the cartridge is likely to rise. Depending on how much damage has been done, one printer could still be salvaged.
This document cannot be printed. My printer was not able to print ink! As soon as I inserted it into my printer, I found out it was Despite this, my printer was working normally prior to installing this cartridge. Thus, I know that it has to be there. You have the option of replacing the item, or getting a refund, from Amazon. Whenever I try to print the return label and get a refund or replacement, the label does not print! (I am not happy with my purchase!.
I can't use it! There is nothing! I ran a printer head cleaning procedure and a print test, and both times, there was no black ink! After removing the cartridge, I ran my finger across the cartridge head, and I barely noticed my finger had left a black smudge. It was clear from comparing it to the one that I'd taken out that the first print cartridge head I got was still damp, whereas the old one didn't seem still to have ink. There was a difference in weight between the new and old cartridge, as if there was ink in it, but it was As the expiration date was not until 2021, there was no way it could be considered.
