Questions & Answers

Are you able to cut these sheets into smaller pieces?

Is it better to cut the laminating sheet to the correct size BEFORE or AFTER inserting your card? I'm making a small book for my grandson that measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. There will be approximately 8 pages in total. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have!

When the laminate is sealed, how thick does it become? Why don't you put that on all of your packages?

This item has a rating of 9. The thickness is 5 mils. Thank you for getting in touch.

What is the thickness of the lamination? (i. 3mil, 9. (e.g., 5 million, etc.)?

Hi K; br> The adhesive is on the transparent film. 3 mil thick at 003" This is the transparent cover sheet. 6 mil thick at 006" LS84G Scotch Laminating Sheets are used in these calculations. br> I would advise caution when adding something to be laminated because the adhesive is non-removable. forgiveness You could make the adhesive and cover sheet a little bigger than you need them to be and then trim them down after mating. Yes, it uses more plastic than is necessary, but you won't have to redo it and you'll avoid losing whatever you're trying to protect. I tried a lot of samples before finalizing the assembly, which was very helpful. br> br> I hope that this information is useful. br>Charlie is a character in the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and

Is the final product clear or slightly cloudy after laminating?

Suzie, it's crystal clear. I've used this product a lot and it's always been crystal clear. I still have a full 25 pouch pack on hand, as well as another with more than half left.

These are excellent, but the quality is deteriorating (Update May 2020: Now I'm feeling much better)
5/5

These laminating pouches are ideal for laminating 8 different types of documents. Documents that are 5" x 11" in size. The total length of the document is just over nine pages. 5" x 11. After lamination, the dimensions are 5" x 5" x 5" x br>br>I'm deducting a star because the pouches haven't been up to par lately. To begin with, they have small hairs/threads on the edges that will press into your laminated paper if you don't pull them out before peeling the pouch backing. Furthermore, the paper strip you peel off to secure the document's initial left edge tends to tear easily as you pull it, making it difficult to keep securing that left edge without the document becoming crooked. br>br>However, if those two factors are taken into account, they do produce a good laminated sheet of paper. br>br>Mid-May 2020 Update: The most recent batch is far superior; there are no small hairs and the strip does not tear when pulled. The rating has been raised to a five-star rating.

Laminating Sheets that are the best in the industry
5/5

Your item will be laminated on both the front and back. This brand has been my go-to for the past 15 years, and it is without a doubt the best. You will need to practice applying this to a document on your own. Do not attempt this with a valuable item until you have practiced and perfected your technique. Once it's stuck, it's there to stay! To smooth the lamination and keep everything straight and bubble-free, I use only my hands, not a ruler or other instrument. Once you've devised your own method, it'll be simple.

Outdoor signs are a good fit
5/5

I used these laminating sheets to make number signs for a community garden project; of course, they had to be weatherproof and durable, which they appear to be. Simply leave a large margin of laminating material around your paper or other material to prevent water from seeping through. The signs have been up for a few months and have performed admirably thus far. The true test will be how they look in a year, but even if I have to replace them, the cost is reasonable. I looked into having signs professionally printed by a printer, but the price was way out of our price range. We were able to make high-quality homemade signs for a fraction of the cost by using these sheets.

Scotch Self-Assessment Laminating Sheets are effective, but they can be difficult to work with
5/5

These self-sufficient individuals are Plastic enclosures that have been laminated work very well. They're referred to as self-contained. Because they don't require the use of a laminating machine (which generates heat), they're a great alternative to laminating. A Scotch heat type laminating machine is also in my possession. The self- Even the 5 mil laminating enclosures (pouches) are thicker and more rigid. pouches for laminating with heat These self-sufficient individuals are Heat pouches always result in a slightly curved or warped lamination, whereas laminating pouches stay flat. The heat sealed pouches, on the other hand, produce a slightly clearer finished product, as they do not contain the small white bubbles that the self-sealing pouches do. Unless you compare laminating pouches side by side, you're unlikely to notice the tiny bubbles. If you're not careful, these self-laminating pouches can trap large air bubbles, making them difficult to use. The self-help book's instructions for use Laminating pouches can be tricky, so practice on a scrap piece of paper first. If you trap air bubbles and then attempt to peel the adhesive cover off, you risk damaging your original document.

Don't put your trust in it; it will ruin your belongings
3/5

I was hoping to use it to laminate artwork for a lantern project I was working on, but I'm not impressed with it. The part with the adhesive is excellent. The rest of it is a disaster. When you try to get clean lines and squeegee the air bubbles out, it leaves scratch marks and scars on it, and it completely destroys whatever you've encased in it. I'm so glad I did some testing before putting anything important between those adhesive sheets. I wouldn't put anything important between those adhesive sheets; it was a complete waste of money and time. Nothing!.

Rose bush labels can be made with this
5/5

These are what I use to make small name tags for my own roses as well as roses that I grow for a local botanical garden fundraiser. The labels, in most cases, last for years when exposed to rain, wind, sun, and varying temperatures - The weather in north Alabama is typical. I punch a hole in one end and attach the label to the rose (loosely) with green covered garden wire. The labels do come apart or fade from time to time, but I assume that's because I didn't press the sheets together tightly enough. Because I can cut the sheets to size, I usually make a lot of labels on one sheet. Instead of trying to control a full sheet, I use a third of a pouch, which allows me to control a bunch of little labels that "float" upwards as I lay down the top sheet.

D. will find it simple enough. able to figure it out: Because my new American Legion membership card is just paper and I'd like to keep it in good shape for the long haul, I purchased this specifically to laminate it quickly and inexpensively. These sheets arrived quickly and were incredibly simple to work with. As others have pointed out, it's important to be cautious. Before pressing the other side onto your laminated item, make sure it's in the exact location you want it. Once you've done this, it's not going to come off. This item has made me very happy!.
