Questions & Answers

Could you tell me if R400 works with Google Docs ?

The answer is yes. If that is the current tab, we will be able to make the change. This presenter is also compatible with Google Slides, Chrome, Chromecast, and other Chrome-compatible devices. This presenter allows you to stream it to a TV over Chrome. Google and Chrome lovers will love this presenter. I've tested it both on a Chromebook and on

Can I use my MacBook laptop computer to use this?

Apple's new MacBook Pros are compatible with this remote, which uses a USB cable When used with a USB adapter, it can be used at speeds of up to 480 Mbps. It was cheaper, but I found that a different (much older) wireless remote did not A 2017 MacBook Pro running the Sierra operating system

Is it possible to use this as a powerpoint presentation?

In short, yes. Having used it on both Mac and PC, I have used it for PowerPoint presentations. In addition to using it with Prezi presentations, I have also used it with

Are any of the Logitech Presenters capable of being used with the Unifying receiver?

A review of the Unifying receiver system appears to have appeared before this one. It's too bad, I would prefer to have one dongle connected to my laptop and be able to use both a mouse and a presenter with it. It appears that Logitech is missing a great opportunity with this feature. Apparently, the presenters are getting a bit old. Maybe an update will be released that will make them work again or possibly a nice Bluetooth presenter will be developed.

You shouldn't have to use it with anything else but The R400 was sold to me under the impression that it would work with any program that utilised left and right arrow keys to navigate slides, photos, etc
3/5

Logitech, however, evolved the R400 to use the PageUp and PageDown buttons as its forward and reverse buttons. The remote, therefore, does not work with it if you run any program that uses the left or right arrow keys. What I find bizarre is that Logitech chose to bind PageUp/Down to the mouse instead of the Left/Right arrow keys out of all the key bindings available. The intent is to use it with Adobe Lightroom primarily, but also for Microsoft Powerpoint. As we talked about the photos, I'd pull up a gallery in Lightoom, give my client the presenter/clicker, and let them go at their own speed through the photos. This worked well with my old Cheap No-Name clicker, which I had used for the past 5 years. In Lightroom, Left/Right arrow keys flip through one photo at a time, while PageUp/Down flip through 12 photos. I thought to myself that there must be some way to change this key binding, some software from Logitech that I could download. It's not happening. In every support question on their website about how to change buttons, they replied that this presenter is only certified to work with Microsoft PowerPoint, and you can't change the key bindings. So that's not on the product page, is it? There isn't a mention of that at all!

This presenter has limited utility right now (only for Powerpoint), and as such isn't worth the cash I spent on My search for something else would have been different had Logitech been more explicit about how it worked or what it was compatible with. It was instead necessary to buy something else that worked with more than one program, which cost more money. I truly cannot understand why an infrequently used key is chosen over one which is almost universally used. The arrow keys in Powerpoint are used to move forward and backward. If your only purpose for this presenter is to work with Powerpoint, it should work fine. You need to find something else to use if you might need to use this with any other program at all. *EDIT
I have looked through plenty of other product descriptions, and I noticed that all include a picture describing which button does what (pageup, etc. ) or they mention it in the description. Hopefully this will make me seem less unreasonable how I am searching for another presenter. I also bought the $10 one for $10.

Logitech will not replace the device since it has stopped working
3/5

My purchase of this was made last October. I was blown away by how well it worked. Each of my classmates has one (a program for PhD students, where we give a lot I tried it again after a month but it did not work. Similarly, another of my classmates faced the same problem. A new battery was installed. However, it won't change slides even with the lights on and the red pointer working. Using three different devices, I attempted this. When I contacted Logitech, they would not exchange/refund the product. I am incredibly disappointed in them. It is no secret that they make millions of dollars selling It is difficult to get in touch with their support team.

Beware of the caveat emptor! Lack of quality assurance due to planned obsolescence
3/5

In a nutshell There was an issue with the caps in the receiver since they weren't soldered correctly from the factory, causing a failure unless consistent pressure was applied to the end of it. In the beginning, the problem took about four days to appear The item is still in my possession five months after I purchased it. Considering that it was near the end of the school year, I stored it in my desk and used my wireless mouse as backup. I should have taken care of the warranty right there, but being a busy teacher, I threw it in my desk. My desk drawer sat in my desk drawer for the summer, and I forgot all about it. As I was preparing for work this morning, I realized I had left my wireless mouse at home, so I went searching for this remote that I remembered purchasing in the past but couldn't recall the reason. In my experience, I have been having a problem where the computer would energize the receiver, recognize it at first, and then fail to interact with it at all after that. As a result of my experimentation, I was able to determine that if a button was applied to the receiver end, the system would function as it should. As an initial assumption, I thought that there was an issue with the way the USB sat on The male end of the receiver and the female end of the receiver were cleaned with electronics cleaner on my computer, but It was at this point that I cracked open the receiver's casing to examine the circuit board. To my surprise, I discovered that a capacitor (I think that's what it is) was poorly soldered and only made contact with the circuit board when I applied pressure to the capacitor. I now understand how I was able to solve my problem by applying pressure to the casing. It is likely to be a simple fix to fix on my own, so I will likely use some solder to make the repairs. In light of the foregoing, I was frustrated to find such a simple issue as poor soldering to be the cause of the problem. In my opinion, there are two possibilities here either this was an intentional design flaw that would fail after a warranty period or it was a case of poor quality control on the day the It was my intention to call Logitech's customer support line this morning to give them a chance to correct the issue. Considering that the receiver has passed its warranty period, I am not at all surprised that they did not provide a replacement. The customer service representatives seemed not to be concerned about the manufacturing defect, however, after I informed them about the issue. You may experience this product differently than I did, but this is fair. Nevertheless, I wanted to let you know about my find as a warning.
