It only gets better. There are so many hidden gems within the TWAIN DS that even the limitation on the NOGUI option and the inability to control the Curve Flatten and Laser Targeting functions is unattributable. It holds a book in a clear cradle that makes it easier to keep the book open without needing to put pressure on your fingers. This only poses a distraction because it "keystones" both left and right pages, and since the TWAIN DS does not have an automated handling method to "de-keystone" it. While the Book cradle scanning images are slightly distorted, the light clears and there is no glare, so the images are clearly legible even if they are distorted. This works, but it takes some getting used to. It would be nice if the NOGUI TWAIN option were controlled by a registry setting like Scan Papyrus has created TWAIN images from other data sources without any visible dialog, thus offering a seamless user would appear that the setting changes can be made by Scan Papyrus during the request without the need for a As a result, I am guessing that the TWAIN DS is ignoring, or at the very least, not offering, We hope support will be able to resolve everything. Vissan Desktop is sleek and minimalist in design and it does most of the same things that the original, native Vissan Desktop software does without all of the distractions that come with more recently designed software.

There are two things that are a bit disappointing beyond Nogui 1.
1. While the LED lights do not light up when using TWAIN DS, it should come as no surprise, but if the GUI for TWAIN DS must appear, a checkbox for the LED lighting should be made available. If you would like to control LED lighting using a separate application in the system tray, you may do so. (An update It is suggested that the scattered dots on top of the stand are a Capacitive "Touchpad" for activating the LED lighting. There are no other obvious ways to activate or deactivate the LED lighting through the Viisan OfficeCam software, but the latter is convenient nonetheless. )

Once again, the Page flatten feature does not work with the TWAIN DS. The GUI should appear in the box if it must, so a checkbox in there for FLAT should be included You can also provide a separate application that controls FLAT from the system tray. It just needs a small system tray icon to toggle these features outside of the scope of the TWAIN protocol. You can put it in your calendar and forget about it. Even though scanning is done over USB2, it scans regardless of the actual protocol. There is no delay when 0 is used. The software works with an external webcam to convert it into a standalone TWAIN DS capture source, or an additional Compositing TWAIN DS capture source, per se or part of an external capture source. With my old Logitech C615 Business camera that doesn't have a Logitech TWAIN DS driver, I used the old PC Camera's TWAIN DS driver instead. This is not the case with the Viisan K21. In addition to document scanning, I purchased this to scan sheet music as well. The product states that they plan to release software for Mac in April 2021, but they currently only have the software for Windows. I only used this on my Windows machine, and it took me less than half an hour to set it There is no need for Photoshop or other image software to be installed since this comes with its own. It was installed very quickly using the CD that came with it. With the scanner, it's easy to scan and they even give you the option of using a foot switch to capture the scan. Toward the end of the year I hope to use this on my Macbook. Generally speaking, this is a terrific scanner for those who are looking for a quick to install and use option.

The scanner has completely stopped working after 3 months, so I am rewriting my review. I even cannot plug in the USB cable and the computer won't recognize it. There is no power to the LED either. submitted a technical service request through the VIISAN website, but I did not receive a response. It does not appear that a phone number is available. There is no way around the fact that items sometimes stop working, but VIISAN should have covered it through There is something wrong with that part. As a result of a return, Amazon agreed to accept it and I will look elsewhere. I am sorry about that, since the 23 MP scans were really excellent.

As a whole, I am reasonably satisfied with the product. There is nothing wrong with the equipment. Although the software is tricky, it takes care of a high percentage of You have to move the finger to a different position in order to completely eliminate the finger. You have to keep working until it does it again after you move the finger to a different position. It is good that the quality is good, as well as the speed of processing. I need to speak to the manufacturer to see what can be done to resolve this problem in my case because the foot pedal takes two pictures at once. As a result, I think the product is quite good. I have scanned a good number of books in my personal library, and they have come out well.

I have way too many magazines stored in closets, bookshelves, garages, The scanner is not cheap, but it has all the features you need to scan and archive all of them into digital format so they can be stored and preserved. One feature about this program I really like is the auto scan function, which activates whenever a new page appears The switch can be activated with either a foot or hand switch, saving you time. Similarly, I appreciate software features aimed at flattening and removing distortion from images scanned in. My hope is to use this program to make my fading magazines into a convenient archive that I can access and preserve on my computer. In recent years, I have become concerned about the fire hazard posed by those stacks of dry, aging papers. We'd be better off if we could eliminate these people.
