My order is so I can match my stable of Faber-Castell pens Graphite mechanical pencil made by Castell. A bit lighter and shorter than the pencil, the pen is also a bit lighter. The only thing they have in common is a sort of matching. This pen writes okay, but if you want to get really good results, you should use a Cross or Parker refill. My pen and pencil seem to go well together, so I'll use the pen in place of **I have a Montefiore pen from 30 years ago that I picked up on eBay for $10 and it works a whole lot better than Faber-Castell It belongs to the Castell pen line.
