I use a similar eraser on a regular basis. Many mediums will be erased, but how well they are erased depends on how long the medium has been able to set into the paper and the type of paper you are using. I use graphite, color pencil, and pen on Mylar, which all erase easily, but it won't come up as well if you use a thicker arches paper. This item appears to have a high price tag. If you search for vintage drafting tools on eBay, you should be able to find something similar for a fraction of the price; I just paid $80 for a Kohnor, which is about my tenth. The quality of Stadlers isn't great.

The 23rd of February is a Saturday. I JUST GOT THIS PRODUCT AS "USED" TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. I had a battery-powered eraser with me. On the surface of my artwork, I use built-up color layers. I use the eraser to "grind down" certain areas of the paper surface in order to create a more even surface. Change the color of those areas by putting up/inserting different colors. the battery-powered Powered erasers don't give me the consistent pressure I need to complete my tasks.

. I was fortunate enough to find one with a METAL TIP. As a result, I believe I did fairly well.

. So far, everything is running smoothly. I can also use the adapters that came with my battery-powered eraser to retrofit smaller erasers into the tip. eraser with a motor.
I have a similar erasing machine that is more than ten years old and still works perfectly-- There's nothing else like it. I ordered two more, but the chuck size is different, so the eraser will not stay in place. I wrapped a rubber band around the chuck to see if it would work if the eraser flew out or slid back into the machine. I'm hesitant to return it because I'm not aware of any other plug-in eraser that is as powerful as this one. I have the rechargeable version, but it does not last long enough. I work for several hours at a time, so if the rubber bands work, I'll stock up; if they don't, I'll have to return. br>Unfortunately, this is not the case.
REFILL ERASERS FOR TRA LONG PERIODS OF TIME. This item is very effective. I'm a hand-drawing architect, and I've discovered that Pentel ClicEraser 4X- For erasing on Mylar, the TRA LONG REFILL ERASERS are ideal. br>I purchase a 4-pack of cigarettes. OFFICE DEPOT is where you should pack your belongings.
But, eventually, I stumbled upon the answer and. When I first got this machine, I was completely frustrated because the plastic chuck would not stay in place on its own. The problem is made worse by the slick white erasers. But I eventually figured out the solution, and now I don't have to curse every time I try to erase something because the eraser is either flopping around or has vanished inside the machine: buy a kneaded eraser and stick a small piece of it in with the chuck. Finally, those pesky white erasers stay in place, and the machine functions properly. I've dropped the machine on my concrete floor a few times with no harm done, though I wouldn't recommend it because the parts are all plastic.
I was delighted to discover this as an old-school draftsman. It arrived on time and included a few extras.
This eraser was my second choice, but it's far superior to my expectations. It appeals to me greatly. It is something I strongly suggest. br>jwd in the state of North Carolina.
The eraser collar is too large and does not hold the eraser in place, making it a poor design. Furthermore, because the eraser sleeve is shorter than the standard eraser length, you must cut each eraser to fit into the device, leaving you with smaller pieces to deal with later. On top of that, after only a month of use, the eraser was completely dead. This item should never be purchased.
Purchased after receiving recommendations from other company offices around the world, and after testing several alternatives, it was determined to be the best product for our needs. It's a shame it's not for sale in the UK, or that there isn't a UK model. The delivery to the UK through our San Francisco office was a long and tedious process, and the Staedler help line was especially useless in assisting the purchasing process.
