These erasers are abrasive, meaning they contain sand or another grit. They don't really remove ink, but rather a layer of the material that the ink is sitting on. While it may remove the ink, it also has the potential to tear the book's pages. Inks come in a variety of textures and bodies, and they prefer to sit on the page or inside it. It's difficult to respond without knowing what kind of ink you used on your book. Similarly, your book's paper type; If the paper is too thin, this product is unlikely to help. Plus, if you only need a single 'ink' eraser, rather than the 60 in this box, purchase a single 'ink' eraser.
Yes, but you'll need a thick piece of paper for this. It isn't going to do a good job.
About 4mm in diameter. An Emory board, a metal nail file, and sandpaper were used. If they're a little too tight, you can reduce the diameter. For art work, I use fine sandpaper to shape my erasers. If they're too small, you can always wrap them in plastic wrap, paper, tape, or whatever else you have on hand to make them fit. Because these ink erasers are slightly abrasive, they can cause paper to become rough. That can be beneficial to artistic work.
The diameter is 3/16", and the length is 13/16".

These were purchased to be used with my Sakura electric eraser. The fit isn't perfect, but it works, and the difference isn't significant enough to cause issues. Paint and ink will not be erased by the plastic erasers that come standard with most electric erasers. This is exactly what these erasers are capable of. When it comes to making corrections, I work on animal parchment, which is a lot more forgiving than scraping when erasing. Also, while it says it takes months to arrive, mine arrived in less than two weeks. I was overjoyed that I didn't have to wait any longer.
For the past two years, I have been looking for these. When I first got my Sakura electric eraser, I was disappointed in how it handled colored pencils. I found some sand erasers, but I wanted to use my electric eraser, so I used the white erasers for graphite. Because these are from Japan, I couldn't read the box and had to take their word for it that they were sand erasers. They go above and beyond my expectations. I purchased a second box to ensure that I do not run out and am unable to locate these. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! Another site on Amazon sells the exact same item for more than $30. 00 ! Get these as soon as possible; I'd pay that price if it were the only way to get them; they're that good.
They are smaller than stated and rip paper easily due to their hardness, which is similar to a stale 100-year-old piece of rubber.
The only reason for the two-star rating is that the refills are excessively large. They aren't going to fit in the holder. I'm pretty sure it's a mistake on the part of the manufacturer. The ones that came with the unit fit perfectly, so I shaved one end down with a pocket knife and sandpapered the spinning eraser until it fit perfectly. It's not an insurmountable issue, but it does take time.
Despite my preference for pencil drawings, I occasionally do pen drawings. The mono sand eraser is nice, but it's not great for erasing small details. This is a good way to get rid of small details without ruining the paper completely.
They aren't magical, but if you're used to ink erasers' limitations, you'll appreciate them. It's becoming increasingly difficult to come across these. These were no longer available at my local art supply store, so I was relieved to find them on this site. Both my Sun Dolphin eraser and my Sakura eraser are compatible with them.
To remove it, all you need is a light touch. They're fantastic in an electric sakura eraser for erasing airbrush paint. To remove ink and paint from my paper, I only need to use a very light touch. I'm overjoyed to have discovered these, as they're extremely hard to come by in my area.
I like it; it's exactly what I wanted, it was delivered on time, and everything was fine.
