A third grade student who has struggled with reading, saying words are jumping all over the place, and with other signs of dyslexia, is entering third grade. It was clear that we had to take action or else she would be held back or have to take I could not pry books out of her hands for an hour after she tried it. She went from hating reading into wanting to read. In addition to improving her spelling, she has excellent reading comprehension. I used to be able to do it, but I no longer am. We are on our way to the next level. If you wish to use this with a magnetic chart holder or paperclips, you will need to do so with a magnetic chart holder or something similar.

My dyslexic students may find these useful when they are reading or taking tests. The line can also be useful for ADHD students in order to give them a point of focus, or for students who have trouble keeping their eyes on the book while they read.
