There appears to be plenty of flexibility and durability in the strips. It was lightweight, but stayed in place while we were at the base of the fan. It would be ideal for my child to be able to use the strips independently if the strips were a little narrower. There are six different colors in the packet red, orange, yellow, green, I found the yellow to be particularly helpful, especially It's really too dark for my child to wear the other colors.
