The colors I received were red, dark green, neon yellow, and white. The numbers on the green were very difficult to read. They appear to be made from cheap plastic and can easily be The images will be good for my purpose (photographing small items/providing dimensions) but I wish the colors shown were shown, which is why I purchased this set specifically.
It's nice to have rulers like these. Despite not being the very best or anything, these tape measurers are vibrant, sturdy, and pretty affordable. I think it is handy that they have metric markings. The reusable rulers are the staple in Operation Christmas Child kits, and I include them in all the school supply kits I fill For that purpose, they were given to rulers.
Good value for classrooms, but more fragile than I thought. 7/36 of the 36 have been damaged within one week of moderate use by students. It's likely the group is broken at 3/36, but I had expected more. It's easy for them to chip on the corners when dropped from table height onto a hard floor, and they fracture in the middle when bent. As long as you use them carefully, they'll do fine. With students, be prepared to lose a few to basic wear and tear. In addition, the black markings on the red and green rulers are sometimes difficult to read since the plastic color is very dark, but the markings on the white and neon yellow rulers are perfect.
My intent was to use them as part of my cave biology research. When the animals are in the stream we often measure fish, salamanders, isopods, and other creatures. There is enough contrast in the white and yellow colors that make these rulers easy to read, but the green and purple colors are too soft to read well. As for the rest, these rulers are good and sturdy, and they're cheap enough so losing them isn't a huge problem.
The supplies will be distributed to a local orphanage as part of our church's back to school project. Six inch rulers are easy to pack in a pencil pouch since they're 6 inches long. In a box of 36 there were something like that.
In the process of searching for smaller metric rulers to store in a classroom supply box, I chose I thought the price was fair. You can purchase 36 rulers for less than ten dollars. Our first few breaks have been over the past two weeks, so they have been in use for only two weeks. There is cracking along the middle and then up the sides. I like the size, but wish the material worked longer.
Buying these for my 4th graders was a great idea. I was really impressed with them - I bought each kid a ruler for their desk out of my own pocket, and it was completely affordable for me. Measurement work can be done with these rulers easily because they are sturdy.
