There appears to be no information on refills; what are refills for this and where can they be found?

I haven't used mine enough to require additional refills, but I'm guessing you can get them at. Any type of craft is acceptable. Store. Near.

Is it possible to bind plastic with it?

It can glue plastic as long as the plastic is strong enough not to melt when hot glue is used. If the object is functional, like a drawer handle, the glue may not be strong enough.

Has anyone used this to make hair bows out of sewing vinyl, and if so, how well did the bows hold up?

I haven't tried it for that, but I have a friend who does. So far, nothing has gone wrong.

Is it possible to use standard-size sticks for this?

It doesn't matter how small it is, it will bring its own.

My old one had broken, so I bought this to replace it. I bought it for Christmas because it was reasonably priced. My 7-year-old uses it as well, and he excels at it. It has an on/off switch and a light indicator to indicate whether the glue gun is on or off, which I didn't realize. This is a fantastic feature, especially since you can technically leave it plugged in while the switch is turned off. It meets our needs perfectly and includes a carrying case in which the hot glue sticks can be stored.

The Glue Gun is a nifty little device

It really works. No drips. I used it to make a jury system. A carton was used to construct a greenhouse. I made a frame out of the box by cutting it down to size and gluing bubble wrap around the edges. The mist can be contained in the box and sprayed on potted seedlings inside.
