When the nozzle clogged, hot wax poured out of the feed port, making cleaning a nightmare. The higher the power setting, the more fluid the wax becomes. Although glue melts at a slightly higher temperature, the same results will occur if it clogs. There's a chance you'll burn your fingers.
This glue gun has left an impression on me. I bought it for the nozzle and didn't expect much in return, but I needed a thin, long nozzle. The majority of glue guns have a thin nozzle, but they are then fat and short, making them ideal for hard-to-reach areas. I wanted two heat settings to see if I could keep the glue from drying out too quickly. This is a great gun at a great price.
UPDATE: When you press the handle, the gun heats up to the point where it's impossible to get glue out of the nozzle because it melts the stick. I'm furious right now because I use the gun for work and now I'm sitting here without a working glue gun, which means I won't be able to finish customer orders that are due tomorrow (March 24th). br>So buyer beware, this is NOT worth the money, especially if you rely on it for work. br>br> This is a major annoyance because I work on very small, detailed parts, and pressing hard enough to get out the glue causes my hand to shake, which can cause me to lose track of what I'm doing.
This was purchased to replace an older gun that I had. I like my new gun and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality glue gun. The longer glue nozzle makes it easier to reach tight spaces, and it doesn't seem to ooze as much as my previous guns did.
My third craft store purchase of a $50 "aileens ultimate pro glue gun" died. I got this $13 gun, and it's a million times better. I got silicon tips and finger protectors for it, and it's the fastest gluing tool I've ever seen for the best price.
It will, I believe, continue to be beneficial in the future. I used it on a large project with two different types of glue, so there's no reason to doubt it. **Update 11/11/2021: I had to pull this out again for another large project, and it worked just as well as the first time I plugged it in. I've used it a few times in the last year and have never had any problems**.
This was used to construct a number of extremely large boxes. The weapon did a great job. It's far superior to hobby glue guns, and the built-in stand proved to be extremely useful. It ensured that the gun remained steady and in reach. The glue is extremely hot and easy to apply. I'm very pleased with the gun's design and construction after 10 hours of use. It's a useful piece of equipment to have.
made. I really like this glue gun because it heats up quickly and does a great job quickly. I think I got a good deal as long as it holds up, but it was well worth the money, and the shipping was very quick.
