I think there's a front and a back to this. It is worse to install it backwards than to have a straight bridge. *br>Look down at the bridge straight down. In general, the piece that supports the 3rd string should be situated closer to the tail piece, while the piece that supports the 1st and 6th strings should be placed
A 3/8" gap occurs uniformly at the bridge between each string.
You should be able to use it. It is stepped by the same number from 1 to 5, so lefties or righties should have no trouble handling it.

Despite me having an inexpensive "RW Jameson Banjo" with problems with sound, something wasn't quite right. A dull sound came from the 4th string. I also noticed that it sounded dull when I barred the frets and went down the neck. It sounds like a better improvement overall after installing the new bridge. Even though the 4th string has improved, the other strings (1, 2, 3) have improved even more. It has a stronger punch and is There was probably some kind of softer wood in the original bridge. There were no echoes like those on the Golden Gate The item I purchased was exactly what I wanted.
In the first shipment I received, the bridge was broken in half however, Amazon quickly replaced it in a couple days. A couple of days ago, I tested this bridge on my Gibson RB- Although I liked the sound of the 250, I put the old bridge back on because I thought it sounded better. If you're only being charged 10 bucks then why not give it a shot maybe it will improve YOURS.
I installed the compensated bridge and it worked well and was easy to install.
It was the R I had picked up. I played the Jameson Banjo here and though the sound was good for the price, it was a bit tinny while fretting the 1 and 2 strings The strings consist of two. With the help of this, the problem was fixed at a great price and it took me about 30 minutes to change the bridge and reinstall it Make sure my banjo is in tune. I noticed the sound of the open 5th string buzzing for the first hour of play, but soon it settled down, and the sound is considerably improved.
This is what I use for my left handed banjo and the intonation is pretty good. For the money, this is an excellent buy.
When I played up the neck, and specifically, when the third string distorted and was out of tune, it completely fixed my intonation problem.
The banjo was bought for my husband since he is restoring his great grandfather's banjo, and it is just perfect for him.
This compensated bridge is very nice. The tuning is more stable and intonation is better on a five When buying a height, make sure it is the right one. It is best to measure first (or to buy two sizes and send the one that did not fit back).
