My original plan was to buy this material to put on the back of access doors for plumbing, as PVC pipe can be quite loud, so I wanted to dampen as much noise as possible from the cleanout doors. I've found so many other For the makeup air vent opening into my laundry room, I made a small sound maze so that almost no sound escapes through the opening. There is still plenty of airflow, but almost no sound escapes through it. Now that I have put a layer over my sump pump, I can no longer hear it run from two.
