Questions & Answers

How likely is it that someone in a next room with thin walls will hear a conversation in an office environment if this technology is implemented?

Such an event would be quite costly and require a lot of construction. Just as water moves in waves, so does sound. If there is space, then sound will travel there to reach the surface. In that case. Imagine the air vents, door frames, windows, and air gaps in the cell structure of the wall. In addition to that, sound vibrates things, and those things reverberate back to the sound source You can also generate that sound by vibrating! Mass will kill sound, so you need it to stop! Your first step is to grab some MLVs You should cover the parts of your wall that you don't want people to hear you through with vinyl! Afterwards, you'll need to cover the MLV on the wall with another layer of drywall. You should leave a gap of 1" between the MLV and the new layer of drywall if possible! Repeat the process on the ceiling as well! If you want special air, then get it now You need to seal the vents to prevent sound from entering! On the walls, put these all over the walls on the entire room. You won't find them all over every square inch of space just around the room from foot to head height. You should be able to do that! Also, get a thick, solid wood door without a hollow center, not a hollow one. More mass is always better! The heavier, the thicker, the greater the mass. There is more soundproofing power with more mass!

In this order, there are how many panels. The picture indicates that it has 4 panels. Is it one panel or does it reflect 4?

Only one panel is available to you. In this video, they are just showing you the different colors that are available. Although the panels are somewhat expensive, I believe they are well worth the money. A wall mount is also an easy method of hanging them.

There is an echo in a cafeteria area and I am trying to reduce it. This is approximately a 40 x 80 foot area. Could you let me know how many tiles I will ?

In my studio, where I have a small area, I have found the panels quite effective. However, for a large area, it might be argued that the more the merrier. If I were in your situation, I would think the primary goal is to significantly reduce how sound waves bounce around the room, rather than to achieve the complete sound absorption that is desirable in a Vertically, I would aim to place the panels midway up each wall, leaving a space of perhaps no more than six feet between them. Be sure to arrange opposite panels on different walls so that they do not face directly at So, a blank space on one wall should have a panel directly opposite it on the opposite wall, and vice In order to minimize sound waves bouncing between two hard surfaces, you need to minimize their bounce. In other words, let's take the following Maybe there are 10 panels on each long wall, staggered so they do not face each other, and maybe five or six on each shorter wall, again staggered so there is a blank wall space on the other side. Suspending some panels from the ceiling with a few inches gap between them and the ceiling could add considerably to the effect if you have the budget and the room height. Hope that helps!

I was able to install it on a ceiling without any issues! You can find some more tips about ceilings here
5/5

As for the panels, I was looking at them as an acoustic absorption solution for My studio walls are already lined with acoustic foam, so I thought this would be the perfect fit for the ceiling space and make the room a whole. As soon as I received the panels (24x48x2 inch panels) I was concerned about their weight. My expectations were exceeded by the weight of the books. I was granted When mounting these on the ceiling you need to make sure they don't come crashing to the ground on you. They aren't very heavy, but if you are worried they will crash on you, be sure they won't. I had to figure out a way to secure the Z clamps to the ceiling safely because the included Z clamps are NOT meant for ceiling installation (wall installation only). To find the ideal way of doing it, I conducted a piece of research online, which was also not horribly complicated (I am handy, but I would not call myself a hero). I was unable to find anything that would truly work for me. As a result, I came up with an innovative method for mounting ceiling panels (with images). Here is what you should do first A pair of items is what you want to buy. Each panel has four D hooks (often used for hanging pictures / artwork frames) and four ceiling anchor hooks (as well). The two should be available at any hardware store or warehouse near you. In order to distribute the weight evenly and for an even installation, you'll need four D-hooks and four anchors per frame. This is the second step In order to install the D hooks, you will need to screw them into the backside of the panels near Be sure that you get as close as possible to the edge of the panels and the frame since this is where the wood will be thickest. Remember, the backs of these panels are nothing more than simple sheets of project board glued to a thick Be sure not to screw in the D hooks more than once over the top of the fold in the fabric. Not the board, but the frame is what you have to screw into. The Third Step consists of As soon as you have mounted all four D hooks to the panel, you need to determine where you want to hang the panel. If you need help, find someone who can help you. The math is pretty straight forward. Using a measuring tape, get an idea of the size of the room. After you have the layout, you can use it to determine where the board is going to be placed and give yourself an idea of where the hooks are going to be located. Keep in mind The first hook is the only one you need to focus on, since once it's in place, it will act as a reference point for all the other ones. Afterward, one drills a hole for the anchor hook, inserts the anchor plug, and screws the anchor hook in. If you usually screw hooks too tight, make sure to use something a little tighter as it is essential that the anchor "takes" to the ceiling all the way. As soon as this first hook is up, simply measure the four D-hook positions on the back of your panel to determine where your remaining hooks will be positioned relative to this To ensure everything is straight, you should always refer to the wall as a second reference point. Lastly, take the following steps Now that you have the anchor hooks in place, you simply need to lift your panel and connect the anchor hooks to the D hooks to get it hanging! There may also be areas where you need some assistance. This panel works fantastically to reduce reflections on the ceiling, offering excellent sound absorption! I have installed three of these on my ceiling to date. After the singers went up, the tone of the room changed quite dramatically, which was enhanced further by the ivory color, which complemented perfectly the performance! As far as the other colors are concerned, I can see how they will work in other rooms. I could not be happier with the way the installation turned out despite the fact that it was a quite unique installation.

This is a great design! These are just the replacement for packing blankets I used to put up on my walls (my wife hated them) I found these while looking for reviews on acoustic panels and I'm in love with them, they silence all the noise in my office/house studio
5/5

It was lovely to look at, and my wife was delighted with it. If I can just get a few extra dollars, I will spend them on my office!.

A nice professional-looking web page

This looks like a good I purchased this black panel and I am very pleased with it. I like the look and feel of this, as well as its high-quality materials The quality of the image is Installation is accomplished with clips for the corners (french cleats) as well as a large paper template. At my wife's standing desk at home, I'm using this to absorb sound during conference calls, and it makes a noticeable difference and doubles as a I have one tip for you If you want to minimize the holes in your walls, you might want to buy your own smaller drywall anchors. Since this only weighs a few pounds, I got some using a 3/16" bit instead of the 1/4" anchors that were supplied.

A change in color occurs rapidly when the skin is exposed to the sun

The third would be perfect if there was one. If I had to choose 5, I would pick 5. Considering the overall picture, I cannot find anything to complain about. I have had my ivory colored panels in that room for about two years, and they changed BIG TIME over that time, especially since they receive direct sunlight. The ivory color looks more like a golden hue, than it did two years ago.

The price is not worth it and the installation guide is misleading
3/5

There is no significant difference in the dimming ability of this sound panel. As a result, I am hopeful that the panel will be able to reduce My disappointment, however, was great. My measurements have shown that the speakers right in front of the panel are only 3dB quieter than the ambient level, which is barely noticeable to the human ear. **1. **2. A paper template can be put on the wall to mark the area where mounting holes must be drilled and can be used to mount the panel. The idea is great, but the templet is poorly The product only comes with four pairs of mounting jars, despite there being six mounting holes drawn on the templet! It's a little disappointing to find that only four pairs of holes are needed for my wall, even though the templet was telling me that it would require six pairs of holes. Having repaired the holes in my wall, now I have additional holes to repair. The whole thing is a total.

As well as being beautiful, these are unique
5/5

Black ones were the ones I chose since that is what I was looking for. For a home studio, these are really the only things you'll need. I find it almost disgusting that people buy low density foam and glue it to the wall. This is also a beautiful design. The black ones complement the accent color of my room so that's what I got. You should get these for absorption and some ACTUAL diffusers after that. You need these and ATS makes them the way they should be made for only about $20 more per panel for those who are too lazy to make them themselves. Featuring a cutout that makes drilling easier, the piece comes with a convenient place for drilling holes. Nonetheless, you should still use a level to be safe.

These are designed to muffle the sounds of

I bought them for my daughter. The purpose of these was to muffle the sound of noisy neighbors in my daughter's apartment. If the walls were truly soundproof, these techniques would reduce sound transmission, but they would also require changes to the walls.

Ensures that you don't have an echo problem
5/5

This product is ideal for controlling echoes in a home theater system. The installation hardware is Installation of this item on a ceiling was difficult using the supplied hardware. We used screw hooks and eyes to install it. In addition to absorbing sound and light, the black color also helps reduce reflections, which come from large projection screens, as well as reducing reflected sound.
