There will still be sound travel wherever this is placed, but it will be reduced in vibration. That tends to vibrate and sound horrible when it comes into contact with things.

Doing what they are supposed does not affect them in any way. Your speaker is decoupled from whatever you have it mounted to, and they do a good job of it. While I use them on stands, they would be just as effective on your desk. There is a removable piece on each one which you can leave on for flat or take off and tilt it to various degrees. I can assure you that the foam is not the same as egg crates. This material has a high density, so when you put something on it, it doesn't just sink. With a speaker, you won't be able to push it in you'll only be able to use your hand and weight. However, it isn't nearly as difficult as you might think. There is soft foam that does not move easily, so vibrations are not transferred to it. The LP8 studio monitors that I'm using with them were 8 inches in size and they handled the sound very well.
Having waited to see if the speaker weight would sink these, I did not push them into the door. These have been used in various angles and hold up well. It's the change in sound quality and the lack of vibration from my desk that I like best! The set is far better than those at high prices.
As far as I can tell, it I use it to stabilize my bookshelf speakers since it is foam. Mechanical movement is all there is. There's no sound of my Klipsch studio monitors any longer, so I can work more comfortably. There should have been a cheaper foam, but this won't cost much more. There is no problem with the.
As a matter of fact, these pads do exactly what they are intended to do. As a result, the speaker is isolated from the surface and the bass response is improved. Nevertheless, they don't really contribute to a greater or lesser level of comfort compared to Wharfdale Diamond 11. I currently use a set of them. I have 2 near field sources on the sides of my desk, close to the wall (college apartments do not have much room). My speakers came with spherical rubber feet, and I found that they significantly improved the sound compared to not having rubber feet. This was a much better recording, with improved bass and clearer sound. needed these speaker foam pads, since my speakers' tweeters are above my ears when I'm sitting and I wanted to angle them downward, improving sound quality while doing so. In comparison to the speaker feet I discussed previously, these did not improve sound quality by leaving some space between the speaker and the surface. The downward angle of the speakers also made the sound seem as if it came from above my desk when the sound was angled upward. emphasizes the artists voice upward. While I wish I could have used these pads, they were not suited for use in intend to get these pads when you don't have speaker isolation, they will be a great fit. You will probably not hear a difference when you install this on your speakers if they already have rubber feet. In addition, you should also keep in mind that angling your speakers will only project your sound up or down in accordance with the angle (down projects higher, up.
Buying a pair each for my monitors, which weigh 63 pounds each, was a sensible purchase for me. Despite the weight's ease of carrying, they work flawlessly. The foam does not depress and the base supports the weight easily. Separating the speakers (studio monitors) from the rack cabinets cleared up some boominess and brought down bass levels. I would highly recommend this book.
I have used them under fairly heavy speakers (20 pounds) and they didn't seem to compress too It's okay if the speaker exceeds the area of the pad, as long as it's not larger.
Make sure you check the angle of the In the pair I received, the monitors couldn't tilt. I paid $12 each for the pair. My order for these uncut versions was 98 dollars, then they went down 2 dollars, so now I am waiting for replacements. So I am thinking of just canceling and ordering another product.
Update- All 3 will go back, I got them all. A good tilt cannot be achieved with these.
