In my opinion, the Whammy features of this pedal are great, but I would not recommend buying it if you are planning to use the downtune feature exclusively. The reason is as follows. Only practice is acceptable on the track, not recording or playing live with a band. You cannot hear the attack of the string clearly when it is distorted. In fact, it sounds as if the notes are coming out tuned down, but you cannot hear anything else.
