There is a transformer in it, yes. This is how high to low impedances are converted. Mechanical gears work in much the same way.
I don't really think so. The device is a simple converter that converts 1/4 inch cables into XLR signals. Could you please provide any other information
I agree with you The product [photo] on this page is not what I purchased.
You won't get any extra volume from it. There is little to no difference between this and a preamp, it is simply a simple gadget to let you plug in a phone jack-type cable such as on most guitar cables into it and then use an XLR cable such as on most microphone cables to connect your PA. The Direct Boxes mentioned above are active "Direct Boxes" that can be used as preamps. Using them as passive pickups will provide you with the boost you need. Search Google for "acoustic guitar preamp/DI box" and see what results come up.

My church bought three of these so the guitars could be connected to the Behringer X32. This is made of heavy duty material. If you hit someone with it, they could be injured. I love it. There has never been a problem so far. There is no degradation in My experience with the purchase has been very positive If there is any hum, it is eliminated by the ground loop switch. My experience with this purchase was very positive. In the event of negative changes, I will post an.
I was very pleased with its Taking a chance on a cheaper product, I went for this Direct box, which isn't as good as the Radial J48 Active DI or A few years ago, I purchased this cheaper direct box and plugged it into a Digidesign Profile and used it with my acoustic guitar. I was very pleased with its Compared to the J48, its volume is a bit lower (10db). This is a great piece of equipment that I got!.
Two of these are being used for a gig I have coming up. In my testing, I set the gain and ground switches to all levels. All seems to be working as I would expect. The gain switch seemed to work, and at the highest level (0 dB) I didn't experience any unusual interference or noise. The only gigs I do are 3 It is only necessary to use them four times per year, so don't expect them to get very dirty The wear and tear of daily life. As a result, I am satisfied with the initial build's robustness. In the future, after I have more experience with them, I may update this.
In the first place, let me stress that this is a low cost passive DI made by a Chinese manufacturer. You are looking at the wrong listing if you are expecting Countryman or Radial. despite this, this is one of the best units this class has to offer. Over the years, I have worked as a professional theatre sound guy and bought one of these for a light-up game console As an addition to my inventories, I have the following duties. There are pros to each of these I found a cheap plastic jack at the dollar store The jacks are mounted directly to the internal PC board - I don't know how well they'll hold up. Although they are difficult to replace, overall, they are hard to beat for the price if you are using them for light or intermittent activity.
Essentially, you put the speaker output of a 5 watt tube amp into the input jack of the preamp tube and get the sound of both the preamp tube and My attenuator is set to 20db so that I have the option of taking the signal into a mixer or USB audio interface without worrying about blowing things Pyle has the option of a 20db attenuator, but the signal is all garbled when it is set I can finally accomplish what I set out to do. It has been a pleasure working with.
The product and price are excellent. I purchased one last year and returned for 3 more, so all of my instruments have a DI now.
He is a solid performer. As a result, I had a pleasant surprise. In my church, I purchased this as an input device for a keyboard. It wasn't going to be a big deal. I might have a problem with the ground. That was not the case. I was very pleased with how well these performed. A great job was done on the sound reproduction. The text does not contain any distortions. There are no problems with grounding. Solid performance is all that matters. There are so many great things about this book. The least expensive thing is a great value.
I'm not as happy with this as I am with the powered direct box I have. In spite of its low cost and versatility, it also allows me to connect my amp directly to my PA.
