Questions & Answers

Could this F1 be equipped with a record lock that cannot be easily disturbed, making it impossible to start or stop recording accidentally?

It is true. It is very simple to lock the switch. The H1 is similar in this regard.

How does the sync with the tentacle work?

Having used three of these since they began, I can attest to their effectiveness. My favorite thing about them is that they are high-quality and have fantastic audio quality. You can use their simple interface or make them as advanced as you like. I have used them for simple interviews as well as for large The Bill Mahon Photo & Art Gallery Watch the video

Just a little
5/5

Before I went to a Rode SmartLav+ shop, that was just amazing. Things took a turn for the worse! A small thing! As time goes on, I will be able to connect an XLR cable, shotgun, and Y/C. I don't care! Set the recording to 24 bits at 96 kHz! I can record up to 30 hours per micro SD card at 24/96 when using a 32 GB micro SD card. You can save the file as a WAV if you like. Here we are. While it will do the job and sounds fine, it does not include a lavatory. I asked if I can compare the sound of the Rode Smartlav+ to the included Lav since I happened to have one and the TRRS to TRS cable. To learn more about the Wave Forms, I also threw it into Adobe Audition. It's clear that the Rode raised this Zoom F1 to an entirely new level, far less background hissing, I had to raise the volume on the Rode to High+ in order to achieve the same results with the Zoom F1 I'm around six. When the Rode was set to High, it had less noise than the included Lav which had the same =6 when set to DB, but had a more rich sound, better bassy tones, mids and highs. In other words, if you get this, you can eventually upgrade to a Lav+ later, and you will also be able to get very nice sound. However, you need the adapter, as the smartlav+ was built for the iPhone and Droid only. Oh, I see. If you are wondering, the Zoom F1 made the SmartLav+ by Rode sound WAY better than it does on the phone or with the original RODE application. My comparison of the two lavs once again took place in a small soundbooth and I used monitor headphones by Audio-Technica for listening to the sound. I heard all the details from Technica speakers, so the test wasn't from small speakers from Logitech. Zoom F1 in English It's amazing what you can do with an LP and a smartlav+!.

It is perfect for YouTube videos due to its small size and high capabilities
5/5

Recording the audio portion of videos for my YouTube channel is the primary purpose for which I bought this device. It's no secret that my beloved Zoom H6 multitrack recorder has long been my favorite recording device, and the various mic attachments I already own for it are compatible with the F1. The lavalier mic that came with the F1 is usually my most used mic, but I've also used my SSH-55 when needed There is a shotgun mic, the EXH-6, and a condenser mic To expand the 6 XLR modules using a low-noise XLR connector F1 comes with an XLR microphone with an impedance of 110 ohms. EXH-09 Using the EXH-09 As long as your microphone does not require phantom power, you can use any low impedance mic. My experience has been that the Auto setting on the Rec Level works well, and I have not been able to overload the input signal, so there has been no distortion. Despite its small size, the F1 is a very attractive device. I'm very impressed with the audio quality. The audio quality will be hundreds of times better than the built-in mic of any camera. Syncing the audio in post does not need to be a hassle with almost all video editing programs. Just click a button to put the external audio into sync with the camera audio. It is just a matter of making sure your microphone is activated on your camera, so that the software has the The F1 is tiny and easily pocketable, with enough buttons that you won't have to do too much menu searching to accomplish your tasks. It can be connected to any camera with a mic input, so you won't need to worry about syncing audio in post. I would definitely buy it again if I were to need it again. The F1 works almost perfectly for its intended use.

A bad thing The battery door, the lav mic, and the self noise were all good features
3/5

The dimensions, construction quality, and features should be considered. A bad thing The battery door, the lav mic, and the self noise were all good features. The dimensions, construction quality, and features should be considered. It's great that Zoom is innovating here, but I'm going to sell mine first, and wait for them to release an update The F1n is probably the case. There's no such thing as a bad thing. . . You can't have it all. . . In the case of the battery door I have a problem with the battery door design. It's very easy to allow the battery door to pop open and stop recording while you are using it. It can happen when the device is attached to your belt and you are grabbing it to turn it upwards. When you just handle the device normally, it can happen as well. One hand is just about impossible to close the door again with one hand. I've done this numerous "- " The following Lav Mic has been included Having said that, I didn't expect an excellent lav mic from a sound perspective, but the cable noise makes it practically There are terrible scratching noises in the recording when the cable is moved. While I appreciate the fact the connection is locked, I do not want to lose it. In this case, it would have been better to have not included one at all, since it would have saved "- "
While the recorder has a low amount of self noise for recording (including when being used by sources other than the included lav, such as from a mixer, or from other Zoom capsules), the internal signal on the recorder is quite high. There is no doubt that it was designed with consumers in mind There is a grade "but it is predictable, so it can be mitigated in some way in post. A Micro SD card can be used for It is inconvenient to use Micro SD cards. It is difficult to read them in most laptops because they require an adapter, they are difficult to find, they are often more expensive, and they are so small that they are difficult Normally, I would prefer to use normal size SD cards for the device. "- " It can either be a recording or a live version In fact, even when using a mono capsule, it is not possible to use the lav and the capsule at the same time. The device would be more versatile if this feature were available.

The Good The size of the device is great it is not too small to be hard to manipulate, but is not so small that it can't be worn The following is a guide for evaluating build quality Aside from the terrible battery door, the system appears to be very well built. The following features This is a very nice smartphone. I appreciate the screw-in jacks for the microphone and headphones There are many different styles of locks. I like the way you did that. designed and almost as easy to use as the gain control, except for the small button at the end of the screen. Using the included belt clip is pretty easy, but I would still be cautious when using it with belts that are more "delicate. " It's pretty cool to be able to use interchangeable Zoom capsules. This is not a 3, it's more than that. It is a 5mm recording device. There is no limit to what you can mount on it. You can attach a shotgun mic, the XLR module, or whatever you have. It is really versatile for certain purposes.
