My first experience with a video recorder like this is a learning experience. Having been recommended this recorder by a professional filmmaker, I can't thank him enough for providing me with a quality product. I now recommend in turn this recorder to anyone looking for it. My file still saved, despite the fact I accidentally pressed the record button at the end of an hour-long interview session, rather than the pause/stop button. I was so stressed that I panicked but it still saved. In conclusion, if you plan to purchase this recorder, it is worth the investment.
