Questions & Answers

How do you get audio from front of house to backstage (via an iPod or computer) if you set this up behind the scenes but operate from front of house?

On this one, I concur with Sean. I usually have an MP3 player plugged in and the music is simply faded in. If you need to queue music frequently, this might not be the best option for you. When I've had to do that, I've gone about it in two ways, both of which involve a stage snake: One way was to use a real stage snake and have the Behringer mixer with me as if it were a regular mixer. The second option is to send only the two-channel audio from the laptop next to me up onto the stage using a snake. Both involve a snake, which defeats the whole point. You do, however, have remote access to the mixer, allowing you to adjust the audio from anywhere in the room. If you require continuous access to a music source, this isn't a total loss.

Andrew's brothers are who I'm talking about. Is there a way to record a authorized reseller of Behringer products? I'd like to make certain that I'm eligible for Behringer's 3-year program. a one-year warranty extension ?

Is it possible to connect to the Internet using an off-site WiFi connection?

This unit can be connected in three different ways!br>1. It has its own built-in WiFi, so make sure the switch is set to the right.br>2. By putting the switch in the middle, you can also connect to your home WiFi.br>3. You can also use an Ethernet cable!
Note! Make sure that whatever you're using goes into settings and connects to the XR18 via wifi, because if you don't, the unit won't work!

Prepare to learn, practice, and have a good time! The decision to go digital was a bold one
4/5

br>I was debating whether to purchase this or a standard 16-inch laptop. Yamaha desk with channel. It's only been two weeks since I got it. br>When I first opened it, it appeared to be flimsy, light, and inexpensive. It does, in fact, Because it requires more protection, I directly mounted it in a three-space reinforced rack bag. This is something you must safeguard. Period. br>Wi-Fi is a wireless network that allows you to connect to the internet. The wireless aerial is flimsy and inexpensive. I had serious reservations about this. 1) The sound quality is excellent and crystal clear. Despite the fact that I am certain the pre-existing Focusrite and Yamaha (UR44, etc. ) devices have far superior amplifiers than these MIDAS preamps. They have a very plastic appearance and feel to them. Only time will tell if this is true. br>2) Numerous inputs, allowing me to run everything in stereo. br>3) used apps for both the PC and the Android platform. They are quite different in terms of features and how they are set up. However, once you have a good understanding of each control surface, it becomes very simple. I didn't use the iOS interface. br>4) Despite my lack of WiFi expertise, I was able to use the access point feature to grant access to three different devices. You can connect your PC to the internet via Wifi or through an Ethernet cable. br>5) Download apps: Visit Behringer's website and download the Windows program. Instead of Pre-, I bought this mixer. Heath and sonus Because there are L models. I'm not a big fan of Apple products. Apple phones are used by my bandmates, and I'm sure they're fantastic. In today's market, you should concentrate on what your customers desire - Behringer did just that, and as a result, it snatched sales from all of its competitors. The Android operating system is fantastic. To avoid your tablet or phone from disconnecting, double-check all of its settings. br>6) Change the channel- It's not difficult to get up. 7) Set saving- I like the Linking feature for stereo vocals. br> It's a piece of cake to do push-ups. br>8) The EQ is fantastic; most high-end desks do not offer this level of EQ control. It's a lot like controlling a digital audio workstation (DAW). If you've used software EQ before, the parametric works well; you'll need to know which frequencies to cut for each instrument or voice to ensure that they're all clear. br>9) Applications: It's crucial to be aware of the Behringer X-Series. The air app allows you to have complete control over your desk. The only purpose of the Xair Q app is to control the monitor. Each user can have their own set of permissions. My tablet serves as a mixer, and my pone serves as a monitor. br>9) The ability to create separate monitor mixes is probably the most useful feature of any digital desk. Before purchasing the mixer, I did a lot of research. These are ideal for mixing in-ear monitors. br>Mono mixes were present on my previous desk. Everything sounds one dimensional when listening to a mono IEM. br>There are six aux buses on this mixer. 1 br>br>br>br>br>br 2 is reached by way of 2 x Female XLR to 1/4 TRS stereo cable into Behringer Microamp Ha400 Ultra-Low-Voltage Input Headphone amplifier that fits in your pocket. This is then connected to the Elite Core EC-100 via a few 1/4 TRS 20 ft to Male XLR cables. WBP- Body Packs with a VC Connection. Because there is only one tail and no batteries, this is preferable to the Behringer dual wire model. 3 br>br> 4 is identical to 1 in terms of setup. For the second set of four monitor mixes, multiply by two. Along with panning and overall EQ, you can control the levels of each channel to the monitor. 5 br>br> 6 can go wherever it wants. Monitors on the floor. It's worth noting that you can also use these to set up your subwoofers and filter out high frequencies. br>br>Before taking it to a gig, you should save your setups and experiment a lot with it. To avoid feedback, set up passwords and practice the EQ for each channel and the main LR. Finally, when you gig, you'll need some final volume control, so I bought the DBX goRack Performance Processor (it's ridiculously cheap) to take care of that. br>1) You get a great master volume control. br>2) You can adjust the level of your speakers (L). R) on an individual basisbr>3) The anti-feedback mechanism is extremely effective. br>4) I was able to get a good EQ sound for my band, which smooths everything out and makes it sound more professional. br>7) Turn off the radio - Yes, sometimes after a set, all you have to do is press that one magic button to silence everything and keep the PA from making noise during your break. br>Don't be concerned about the cost; having some hardwire control adds a nice finishing touch to the system.

There are two flaws that are on the verge of being fatal
3/5

There are numerous 5-star reviews available for all of the PROS, which you can read here. I feel compelled to point out two major flaws with the XR18. br>br>On this device, the wireless router both sucks and blows - You can't do anything with it unless you're connected to the internet. It turned out to be much worse than I had anticipated. Even when I'm only 3 or 4 feet away from my iPad, I lose signal. How can Behringer install a wireless access point when you'll need to buy a separate router to use it for anything important? Crappy wireless might be acceptable at a rehearsal or a neighborhood bbq, but don't use the XR18 wireless if you're getting paid to play a wedding. br>br>You'll need to buy and run an ethernet cable to a wireless router, which will almost certainly require a wall wart, adding to the amount of stuff you'll need to buy, transport, and set up. Behringer, are you serious? If you buy an ethernet crossover cable (along with an ethernet adapter for your tablet, which you'll lose at the worst possible time) and stay tethered/wired, you can avoid buying a new router. Furthermore, the iPad app does not allow you to save IP addresses, so you'll have to type in 192. 168. 1. 1. 168 When you first start it up, it will give you a 1 every time. Sure, it's not a big deal until you can do it all on an iPad touch screen with one hand while playing your guitar with the other. br>br>Connectivity to the XR18 is an embarrassment. You'll have to buy more things and make do. I'm not sure how anyone could give this more than a one-star rating. br>br>Also, I'm not sure what to make of this. Good luck if something starts to feedback while you're not connected to the XR18. You can hit the power supply and turn it off, but your powered speakers will pop and scare everyone in the room if the power is cut. br>br>So, where do we go from here? If you turn it back on and you haven't done any of the following: 1. identified the source of the feedback, and 2. fixed it. When you turn on the power, the feedback starts all over again! As a result, you'll need to turn down the volume on your powered speakers and gradually increase it until the problem is fixed. br>br>Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Of course, Behringer has come up with a solution. Perhaps a "panic" button that reduces all outputs by 20 decibels until the problem is resolved? What? No? Then some kind of passive master volume (this approach has a few drawbacks, but they can be overcome). No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, and Remove another star. br>br> br>br>The XR18 is a great and powerful product that is wildly popular, and I will keep and use mine. br>br>However, there are two extremely serious design flaws, and I can only give it a three-star rating. That's still reason enough to spend your money on it, but Behringer fell short in a few areas (where they didn't have to) and you'll have to deal with the consequences.
