Questions & Answers

Is a "2 Bus Mixer" a recording software feature that allows two inputs (for example, guitar and vocal) to be separated? Thanks! ?

If you put a mic in one channel with the balance all the way in one direction, and a guitar in another channel with the balance all the way in the opposite direction, you could do it. The result would be two mono recordings, one for each channel. Recording software makes it simple to edit.

Is there a cable included to connect it to the computer, and if so, what kind of jack should I get for my USB microphone?

There were no cables included, so I had to use an adapter to convert my 1/8" to 1/4" and then purchase 1/4in male Y-connectors. If you look closely at the picture, you'll notice that all of the connections are 1/4 inch. As for the USB microphone, you won't be able to use it unless you can find a converter that will convert to 1/4inch, or you'll have to buy a new mic because, in my experience, the sound quality degrades as you use more converters, so I wouldn't recommend it. I hope this information was helpful; if you have any additional questions or concerns, look up the brand/manufacturer; they may be able to assist you.

What is the maximum number of microphones I can connect to the mixers? Will there be enough room for four?

No, you're only allowed to use two. On channels 1 and 2, you can't use the XLR and Line inputs at the same time. Consider a mixer with four preamp channels if you need to connect four microphones.

Is it possible to get ac with this?

Yes, it comes with a power adapter. The unit's connection is similar to a miniature shielded microphone jack. This is the first time I've seen a power plug like this. It's not a regular jack or USB port. There are three pins and a round shield. The shield is dimpled in such a way that it can only be worn in one direction. The plug-in has wires coming in and out of the transformer, so it doesn't take up any space on the wall or on your power strip. It has two outputs and a 120 VAC input. 250 mA at 5 volts and 3 volts at 250 mA at 3 volts 100 mA at zero volts. Because the board lacks an on/off switch, when it is plugged in, a bright blue light illuminates to indicate that it is turned on. The only way to get out of this situation is to de-stress. To energize the board, unplug it from the power source or from the board.

Streamers are unable to use it
3/5

I purchased this in the hopes of replacing the Behringer Xenyx 1204FX, which has a monstrous footprint. As a streamer, I needed more space on my desktop for other equipment. Unfortunately, the mixer has a lot of limitations. You can't use the USB connection to play audio through your headphones (which makes no sense to me). What's more, it's getting worse. Behringer is aware of this limitation, but fails to mention it in any of the product's descriptions. br>br>Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money on something a little more powerful than this. Although it has a small footprint, the drawbacks are simply not worth it.

This is an excellent mixer for a beginner
4/5

I'm brand new to using an audio mixer, and this was my first choice. br>For videos I'm editing, like product reviews and tutorials, I wanted to improve the sound quality of voice overs and narrations. br>I was looking for a three-bedroom house. This was the smallest one that met those requirements, with a band equalizer and at least two XLR jacks. br>br>*Build Quality
This one receives a five-star rating. It appears to be well constructed, and I have no complaints. br>br>*Performance
This thing does exactly what it should. If you're using the phono jacks to connect microphones, make sure they're powered separately. To put it another way, if you're using the 1/4-inch jack to connect a lapel mic or other device, The mixer will not supply power to it if it is plugged into the jack. br>The microphone you use appears to be the most important factor in determining the quality of your audio. I bought the Behringer XM8500 mic in addition to this after another reviewer recommended it, and I have to say, "WOW. " I'm not an expert on microphones, but the XM8500 does a fantastic job of canceling out background noise and delivering high-quality audio, especially when used in conjunction with this mixer. br>For the techies, this mixer uses 4558 op amps, which aren't the quietest op amps on the market, but given the price range of this product, it's understandable. Because each audio signal passes through multiple 4558 op amps, it will have an effect, though I believe it is minor. However, I suppose it is dependent on the application. br>br>*The Power Jack
The odd connector for the power adapter has gotten a lot of attention, but it makes sense. 18V is supplied by the AC adapter. 18V is required for the op amps to receive dual rail power. As a result, it must have a three-star rating. The standard barrel plug is no longer an option due to the pin power connection. I didn't have any issues with it being loose, which could indicate that Behringer has fixed the problem or that I just got a good build. So I have no objections to this part, especially given why it is required. *NO POWER SWITCH! br>br>
Ok, this is a major flaw and the reason I only gave it four stars (almost three). Why isn't there a simple on/off power switch on it? It can only be turned off by unplugging it, which I don't want to do at the mixer because I don't want to wear out the plug and loosen it. Who on earth thought it was a good idea to turn this off? Because of the air conditioning, the right upper side of this gets quite hot. I don't like leaving this on when I'm not using it because of the DC power conversion. I don't believe it's a safety issue, but I believe it will shorten the mixer's lifespan. That is, after all, just my opinion. br>br>Overall, this is an excellent mixer, particularly for a novice. I wish there was a way to make it more portable, like using batteries to power it, but there isn't. The size is small, much smaller than I anticipated, which makes it easy to store and reduces the amount of space on your desk. This is something I would strongly recommend, and at this price point, it is a fantastic value.

This is one of those books where I should have read the reviews first
3/5

Behringer is a brand I'm familiar with, and it offers a lot of features for a reasonable price. While some people have mixed feelings about it, I have found it to be dependable. I would have made this Mixer 3 (for small gigs and possibly podcasting), but the only flaw is a fatal flaw in my opinion. The power cord will not stay plugged in. The power cord could literally fall out if I look at it long enough. What do you mean? What went through your mind when you came up with this? Since the 1990s and early 2000s, I haven't seen this strange assed cord. What am I supposed to do, for example, with a unit whose power won't even turn on? This is the most ridiculous nonsense I've ever heard, let alone experienced. As a result, I made the decision to leave the firm entirely. This POS has been returned. My other Behringer mixers have already been sold to Guitar Center. Behringer, I bid you farewell. You put forth your best effort. There isn't enough difficulty.

It was fantastic
3/5

It was fantastic. I actually bought two of them. Then, during a live stream, my board began to smoke and eventually burned out. It's only been four months. Of course, there is no guarantee that it will be replaced. / I used to recommend them to all of my website visitors, but that is no longer the case.

AN EASY FIX FOR THE POWER-OUTAGE THE- THE PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE'S MIXERS! With the exception of the PESKY POWER PLUG PROBLEM, I would have given this mixer 5 stars for value/quality
4/5

Really, Behringer, with that sloppy connection, you've got to be kidding! "Gee, Boss, with this low price point, do we really need to provide power to this thing, too?" the designers wondered. OK, we'll hand it over to them, and we won't tell them that having a good sense of humor is a must for anyone who wants to own it, lest they throw it out the window or feel compelled to jump up and down. BUT DON'T WORRY, THERE'S A SIMPLE FIX. "br>br>But DON'T WORRY, THERE'S A SIMPLE FIX. & No, duct taping the connector to the mixer isn't a good idea. I simply wrapped a few wraps of silicone around the connector's body. Stretch the plug body into the mixer chassis with stretch tape until it fits snugly. I just eyeballed the diameter I thought would be appropriate, plus a little extra, so I could unwrap it and trim away any excess. I only needed to trim the tape back about 1/4" from my estimate. timate. And then, BOOM, you've got yourself a winner. It's still unplug-able despite the fact that the problem has been solved. Moreover, able! Another benefit is that it relieves stress on the connection itself, as the weight is now transferred to the enlarged plug body rather than the connectors, resulting in longer service life. I used black silicone tape, which blends in nicely. To even notice it, you'd need to be told it's there. There's no need for unsightly duct tape residue; simply plug in or unplug as normal people do every day. Meanwhile, I'm waiting for Uli Behringer to give me a pat on the back. Uli, I'd like to express my gratitude for everything you've done for me.

It's fantastic! This item has made me extremely happy
5/5

It accomplishes everything it claims to be capable of with relative ease. This was how I ran the mic. I'll plug in my guitar and record it on my computer. The problem I had was figuring out how to record with stereo tracks, which means one instrument or voice per track. With this, I'll be able to do all of that and more. I used it with Audacity to create two separate tracks on which I could mix whatever I wanted. It works perfectly, and there are no problems with the sound drivers in Windows 10. The FX out and in circuits are also very good. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made. It doesn't take up much space on the desktop. br>I plugged it into a cheap surround sound amp, and the other set of jacks is connected to my computer's HD line in. It's convenient because I can use it as practice and hear what I'm recording as it would sound in the room.
