Yes, unless you have a very hot active pickup on your guitar, the gain when using the 1/4" aux ins directly is a little low. I either use a preamp or a direct box and plug into one of the xlr inputs. But, overall, I'm pleased with the X32- Rack.
I’m 95% sure it’s 3U,’m 95% sure it’s 3U,’m 95% sure% My rack is full because I have it stacked with a 1U power conditioner.
The X32 rack with USB card (type-A, on the back) B) is capable of multi-tasking with 32 in x 32 out. into a digital audio workstation (DAW). So in my daw, each input is on its own track. For years, I've used it with Sonar to accomplish this goal. The USB (type-A) connector is a small connector that connects two devices together The Behringer XR12 (which I also have for smaller gigs) only does stereo recording to a portable drive on the front, and the Behringer XR12 (which I also have for smaller gigs) only does stereo mix via USB.
It can function as a stand-alone device. The outputs can also be assigned, but I prefer to use output one for my mains and output two for my subs.

I've had one full-time job and one part-time job in the past. For several years, I used an X32, two X32 Racks, and two S16's. Yes, I drank the Behringer Koolaid, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. These things are truly amazing. On the X32, one fader and a few buttons have become stuck (the design has changed since I received mine), but Rack units have performed flawlessly. I've taken one to Burning Man a few times, which is a horrible, hot, and dusty environment, and then used it for live performances shortly after returning. Aside from faders and the number of rear-facing speakers, there are a few other features to consider. panel connectors, rack connectors, and full-size panel connectors are all available. Size X32 are identical in every way, and they both run the same firmware. Everything works the same if you program on one, save to a USB stick, and load it onto the other. When I got to a gig and realized I hadn't brought the full-size board back from another, I just pulled out the Rack I keep in my trunk as a backup. It only took two minutes to get it up and running, and the client had no idea. (I always bring a tablet to that venue. ) Rack units, on the other hand, do necessitate the use of a third-party application. Initially, I used the iPad app, but on my HP tablet, I switched to the Windows app. F'n magic, to be sure. Provides population groups (which allow you to combine channel faders, DCAs, and bus faders on a single screen).
You must use the app on if you want to get the most out of it. It's a fantastic piece of machinery. To navigate correctly, you'll need to use the app on a tablet. That is most likely something you already know. This is something that my band and I use both live and in the studio. When needed, we connect this to another X32 compact via Ethernet cable and have a total of 32 channels, as well as the ability to operate independently on live gigs. This purchase has made me very happy.
This is a very powerful little setup that is also very portable (it fits in the passenger seat of my Mini Cooper). br>br>I'm in love with this! br>br>THE ONLY CONTRARY FACTOR IN *MY* CASE IS THAT IT "ONLY" HAS 32 CHANNELS. This thing would be on EVERY show I do (festivals, ships, etc. ) if I could add one more stage box.
br>The only thing missing is an onboard wireless network, which is understandable given that it can't be controlled without an iPad. br>Eight onboard effects, two channel output recording to a jump drive, and eight analog outs for monitor mix or in-ear monitoring. br>It's the best value for money. It's expandable; if you need more inputs, simply add a stage box.
It's almost as if you're using an XR18 on the go. I like the X32 system's features because it has higher-level functionality and more outs.
This is a fantastic mobile-friendly version of it! Make sure you have a router and that you're using the iPad app.
This is ideal for our small shows where the full X32 is not required. I also slave it to our full X32 for use as a digital snake during our larger shows. This works better than the s16 snake because, in addition to the 16/8 XLRs on the rack, I can use the snake's 6 (1/4 in) auxiliary inputs, which the s16 does not have.
