Previously, I had downloaded BIAS SoundSaver Express and used it on a Windows 7 machine to digitize old vinyl albums. But now I have built myself a new PC and have installed Windows 8. As much as I loved SoundSaver Express, it wouldn't let me renew on my new computer, and so I had no choice but to research available products and try Record Gold, which I had mixed results with. As far as I was concerned, the worst that could happen is that I would lose There is no better software out there than SoundSaver Express. It cleans a lot better, and my music can really be described as exceptional. Even more so since some of my albums have been around for almost 50 years. Its only downside is that it does not allow me to name the tracks before they are saved, so I must enter track information using an mp3 tag editor. Unfortunately, 30 dollars won't buy you everything. Sadly, as a result of our work together, the sound quality of my recordings with audio cleaning lab has become so much better that I find myself wanting to re-record My goal is to record the LPs that have already been.

I have a recorder that stores files in this format. It uses the WAV format, which MAGIX claims can be played by the program. As a result, I had to clean them up and save as an MP3 file. I am unable to hear my recordings in MAGIX even though Windows Media Player plays them fine. As a result of my support ticket, Support was able to reproduce the issue, but said there is no release date to address the issue. Installing unknown software was suggested by them. Putting the EXE file on my computer first, then running the WAV file through it before bringing it into MAGIX is how I do it. Despite this, I am not in a position to install an unknown program from a foreign language site onto my computer. It was a complete waste of money, as Amazon has a "no refunds" policy for software and this program is not compatible with my computer. Even though it claims to support the format, it doesn't seem to work with WAV files. A disappointment for sure.

I have been able to convert my aging LPs to MP3 by using this product in conjunction with a good turntable and PC.
