Questions & Answers

Do you know what the velocity range is?

There is an adjustable velocity control on the keyboard.

This one is different from the X6mini, so what does that mean?

With weighted keys and a few variety knobs, the X6 mini is a little more customizable. It's a VTPO, so I don't need tough sensitive keys. Furthermore, I have an 88 note keyboard that I can touch to control Your needs determine the type of solution you need.

What else must I purchase in addition to ?

Yes, I agree. You will either need a laptop with MIDI sound or a Midi sound bank to use it

It does what it is supposed to do
3/5

Basically, it's a nice MIDI piano with no speakers that plugs directly into the USB port on your computer straight from the back of the MIDI. It does not seem to require any downloads or drivers It's as easy as plugging in and playing Enjoy the game. Personallly, I use this MIDI with PropellerHead's Reason, and it does the job just fine without any issues. MIDIs that are in this style are essential for music creators. If you don't already have one, then you definitely should get one. I gave this item 3 stars because I had to return my first MIDI because four keys didn't work and the second MIDI did not come with a USB cable for power and data. In spite of these issues, I would have given the product 5 stars if it hadn't had these issues.

I find it easy to use, but I would like to see better build quality

The bottom line The Democratic Republic of Congo The price is good, and there are a lot of features to enjoy This is a MIDI controller covering an octave band. There's no doubt that the key action is solid, velocity sensing is reliable, and the bend/mod wheels react appropriately. As of today, I can't figure out how to use the data entry slider as a control for my DAW (and the sustain pedal doesn't pass through to the DAW either, so I suppose that's With a standalone synth, I was able to make it work. )

for a standard keyboard stand, it's a bit short In general, the stand bumpers will only be on the front or rear edges of the stand. Although it would probably be able to fit behind a computer keyboard on a desk. Furthermore, this device does not require a MIDI or USB cable for use with a computer. With the USB cable included, the unit will act as both a power supply and a way to connect to a PC or Mac with a standard USB port. It can be connected to other MIDI equipment such as sequencers, analog synthesizers, and drum machines via the MIDI ports on the back. Here are the major issues This key has a very soft feel to it, it is hard to press, and it doesn't bounce back when released, so chords played in the 3rd octave will often have a G with too little velocity or they will The fact that this is a big deal to me would mean a lot if I played professionally or did any kind of recording or music production for, like, money. As I don't intend to use this for virtual synth racks, I won't need to return it. However, since I'll use it to feed virtual synth racks and a DAW, it wouldn't be so critical. There is a lesson to be learned for other buyers You should check EVERY key once you open it, and if any of them has bad clicks, return the item.

This would have been the one I chose if I had not had specific requirements

Despite its short USB cable, this keyboard comes with a decent sound. Perhaps you should get the "AmazonBasics USB 2. 0" since it has a longer cable. A cable with an open end An adult male to a The male gender consists of A 10 Feet (3 meter) tall building. This cable has one end plugged into the standard "A Male" (that's the big one you see every time) and the other end plugged into the B Male (usually used to plug into keyboards, printers, etc, but not as you find it in It is important to note that the keyboard does not make any sound on its own because it is a "MIDI keyboard controller. " MIDI equipment is connected to the computer (or other MIDI equipment) and software is run on the computer.

Here are some of the things There is only a single cable between the keyboard and the computer's USB port, so that's how it works. The LP-24 is small and compact and doesn't require all the extra stuff most traditional "instruments" require so that they can make sound by themselves. There seems to be no restriction between the widths of the keys. -Comes with a USB cable. -Birthmeter dimensions are small enough that one can stack several of these as if it were a pipe organ. * Here is what I didn't like * It would have been nice to have had As is the case with most keyboards, there is a 50 wire music stand that attaches. I (sadly) sent it back due to the following reasons The keys on keyboards that I am used to are so long as the length of the visible instrument- I have played mechanical pipe organs and harpsichords, so most keyboards have keys that are from 3x to 4x long -- There is a very large protrusion of the keys into the case of the instrument. The very long keys require your fingers to be far removed from the hinge, so playing at the tips of the keys differs not at all from playing the keys closer to the black ones. There was a huge difference between the short keys on this keyboard and those on the average keyboard.

In the aftertouch, there is nothing
4/5

I like it because it's cheap and functional, but you must use your midi cables. It's not bad for a 61 key controller that costs less than $100. This has been in my rig for a couple of years now, and I find the action is fairly quick and quiet. The keys are stiffer than anything else in the rig, but the action is very responsive and quick. The "feel" of a piano isn't something that is very important to me because I am not a trained pianist. In my case, you can adjust your velocity curves to help counteract the shortcomings of the keybed. In terms of parameter selection, the program is fast, even if some settings aren't quite as clear as others. The small amount of what it can do gets you used to it. In the keybed, "Aftertouch" is not part of the keybed but is controlled by a data slider, if desired. In addition to my main wheel, I use it for a second. The initial issue I had was my store-bought midi cables would not push in far enough for my liking since the case was too thick and the hole in said case was too small I made removable sheaths for midi cables years ago that I could retract a little so that they would get a better bite onto, so I retracted them slightly. In addition, I was not clear as to whether the unit accommodated inputs from a keyboard or a usb. "USB" turns out to be a single MIDI output, which is nice to have. I use it to send midi time and bit stream data to the old computer that I loaded the VST's on. I sometimes have to turn the i61 on/off to reset it, but I am not sure if the controller is at fault or something in Cubase or my USB hub is having a problem, as my new midi rig has minor issues with my name brand USB.

With Magix Music Maker, it is easy to manage your music
4/5

There is a connection between this and my DAW, Magix Music Maker, and it is working perfectly. You will find the instructions for using it on a website, and the link to that website is printed on a small white strip of paper. Make sure not to lose that. While it came with an array of functions, I wasn't able to use any of them, like volume control, but I didn't need In addition, I didn't have to download any software for it to work with Magix, since it was plug-and-play. My digital audio workstation has all the distortions or volume changes I need built in, so we should be all set. Taking care of my needs with this inexpensive controller is a piece of cake. The purchase has been a great success.
