What's the difference between an unbalanced and a balanced cable?

Is the inside of the cables "snake" colored? Is it possible to cut the snake open and get individual colored cables?

Yes, I believe they are colored on the inside; however, I'm not sure how cutting them open would work.

Only one of the eight lines worked right away. br>However, because I only needed six of the eight, I assumed I'd have two spares. br>This was a low-cost fix for a difficult problem, and the 6 I used worked perfectly.

For the amp rack, this snake is fantastic! I'm currently using it to connect my 16-channel mixer board to an amp rack with three power amps, EQ, and Midiverb

The length is ideal for leaving in the Anvil power rack and connecting to the mixer board that sits on top. I never have to dig through the rack to connect everything; all I have to do is grab the open end of this snake and connect!.

This is compatible with the Tascam 424sd recorder and the Mackie 1604 mixer. With this, all eight channels sound great and are connected in a neat manner.

For my rackmounted guitar effects, this is a fantastic solution. To keep things organized and neat in my guitar effects rack, someone suggested that I get a 1/4" snake to connect everything. This is effective. It appears to be quite solid and long-lasting. The cost wasn't too high.
