These units are ideal for wired in applications on a budget. ears, whether live or in a recording studio I use the back's direct inputs for eight different headphone mixes. Dual XLR to single TRS stereo cables (signal will be unbalanced) are used to send signal from your console/interface. If your equipment has 1/4 inch outputs instead of XLR, you could use a dual TS to TRS (like an insert cable). You can connect a TRS to XLR cable from the HA8000's phone outputs to a Behringer PM1 with a TRS to XLR cable. Alternatively, you could use a standard headphone extension cable, though it will probably be less durable. br>I had a power supply go bad on one of these units a while back, but it was the HA8000 V1. This model has been in use for more than a year.
For the price, this is an excellent product. I bought it because I assumed that if I plugged an input into the main, that input would be heard in every headphone, regardless of whether it had a direct input or not. This isn't the case, however. Only channels without a direct input can hear inputs from the main.
In order to create an Aviom In- I'm very happy with my ear monitor system. The sound quality is excellent, and it provides sufficient amplification so that we no longer have to turn up the volume on all channels just to hear ourselves. With our in-house technology, we can have up to 16 channels. ear's, so if we grow, I'll be able to easily add another one. I'm not sure how long it'll last, but it's a lot less expensive than other options, and the sound quality is excellent for our needs.
I purchased this because I needed to be able to turn off my monitors while recording vocal takes; with all of the headphone inputs, anyone can plug their headphones in and listen to the music; it was also very simple to install with my Behringer interface.
Even when not connected to our snake, terrible electrical interference causes a high pitch hum and a 60hz hum in any port. Our other low-cost headphone amplifiers are fine, but this one is terrible. Purchase is not recommended. I can't return because it's too late.
When using Mono inputs, however, you appear to have only one option for each output. If I make a blunder, I'm willing to accept corrections and give this 5 stars.
br>Another attempt to give Berhinger the benefit of the doubt: I removed the extension adapter from my MBP power converter and replaced it with a direct plug adapter. Viola! The issue has been resolved! It was extremely quiet. In terms of separate mixes, everything is fine and very manageable. This is a good option if you need something to handle multiple mixes without taking out a second mortgage.
The Behringer HA8000 performs exactly as expected, and has allowed us to remove all of the guitar, bass, and piano amplifiers, making the scene appear cleaner. All you need is a good pair of in-ear monitors, and it will more than adequately replace the good sound quality that an amplifier can provide.
