I have not tried this yet. It would be great to know what kind of PA system you use. I just don't think the setup is very good. No wonder it cost so much, all those pieces thrown together at random. If you do some Jimmy rigging on your own and are determined to make it work, it might work, but I bet I could go to the hardware store and do it If it was me doing it again, I would search for a long time.
Being a hot spot, it has fairly good full range sound. It is important to know that the volume control has 7 indents, The problem is that I did not know until I got it that there was a problem. Furthermore, the knob doesn't turn all the way down to zero when it is turned all the way off. It is not possible to turn off the sound completely. The way it works in this regard makes it a true stage monitor. It comes with great hardware for mounting onto a table. The unit was easy to set up and works It's a matter of getting what I paid for and being happy with it. The following is a little unusual about my application My role in a church is to feed the music and message from the sanctuary into the family/cry room. It didn't need to be a permanent installation for me. In that case, this is perfect. Even though I figured it wouldn't work there, I wasn't too worried about it playing onstage for the keyboardist. However, it turns out it is working well.
It has a clear, loud sound, and is simple to use. A good option would be to get an Atlas stand instead of the $20 basic ones. Despite the lightness of the monitor, you are going to need something stable to raise it so that it is at.
Even if I turn up the volume high enough, the sound is not loud enough. It is just OK as far as sound quality goes. what you get for your money is what you get.
After having tried two different powered hot spots, we were experiencing some static and problems with sound, so I got this hot spot and used an amp at the rear of the building, and have had no problems with sound quality since getting it.
It works well.
The sound is quieter than our Peaveys, as some of the other reviews note. With those words said, they work great for our application.
This hot spot doesn't get near loud enough for what I need for my application. I wanted to place it on a mic stand next to the keyboard so that my wife could see it as a monitor, but it isn't large enough. Because I can't use it, I'm planning on selling it for what I can get in return.
