Although my experience with the vendor was very positive, I was very bummed out to find out they were not an authorized Rode dealer. Consequently, I did not qualify for the extended 2 year warranty offered by Rode when I registered the product. The buyer should be presented with this information upfront so that they can make an informed decision before purchasing.
The sound quality on this wireless mic is excellent, really, really good. The audio from an interview or mixing several in a church environment using this mic has become my go-to for catching audio into my mac. All I can say is how wonderful these little guys are.
Everything seems to be going well. It has only been a few days since I purchased it, but I just used it today for a video I took. Though I pressed it shut when I opened it yesterday since I saw the face of the TX popped open. It took me a moment to realize they were rechargeable so I figured it was the battery compartment. Maybe the adhesive holding it shut has dried out? If so, I would return it to you. I am not sure yet.
I like it, but I still need to buy a separate Rode sc7 connector for using it with an iPhone or Android phone.
The mics are great, they work great! This was the first wireless mic I had ever used and I had heard great things about it. In the past, I had only used wired ones that were inexpensive. However, at a certain point I wanted to advance in my video and photo taking, but I didn't want to pour a lot of money into it. The choice I made was the right one. Basically, all you have to do is charge it and plug it in, and then you're ready to go. I love the sound it produces, as well as the accessories I carry it I said the sound was amazing, didn't I? They are highly recommended.
A little reading helped me learn I needed a second cord for my cell phone versus my computer. Either a computer or switcher is required. I was able to achieve a whole new level of video. Investing in this game changer has been a great investment for me.
So far, I have not been able to get them to work with my Lav+ made by the same (I have used them without the lav and just clipped the built in mic onto my jacket to use, but it is so bulky and obvious under that jacket. Originally, I was hoping it would solve my wireless mic problems, but it has caused more pain!.
The RX transmitter would not charge. Because Tony's customer service is exceptional, it didn't matter what the problem was! Alto Music is the best! Thank you!.
