I thought it was a typo until I read the description. In the past, I owned a UX Series model. This mic is the same as this, except that it has a small LCD screen on the bottom to show how much battery power is left. There's not a lot of difference here other than that. It comes with the same old trusty SM58 microphone that you won't have to worry about breaking if you use it. In any case, the combination of microphone and receiver is the same. It is the only thing missing that it does not include an LCD screen. There is something to be said about a pro model at a base model price. This mic will allow you to travel a football field or two before any issues of break up occur. It has all the quality that you would expect from a SM 58. This is what all of the professional musicians worldwide use. In the back, you will find both an XLR plug and a quarter inch jack, allowing you to plug it into most any situation. Generally, you won't find a better microphone for the money. The fact that it uses AA batteries is also a huge advantage over the 9 V batteries that I used with the UX, which lasted two performances before I had to switch batteries. As for the new microphone, it lasts at least four shows on AA batteries. The AA batteries are much more affordable, too, making this all the more amazing. In a church setup which I'm responsible for, I finally had enough of the cheap mics, and replaced the cheap set up with a quality one to expand the install and replace the cheap set up. We fitted four of these in the installation, and the pairing feature between the mic and receiver was a piece of cake. This is a very simple and very good product. Despite their long distances as well as the fact that they can be located up to 200 feet away from the receiver, the microphones are excellent. The Shure UA844+ antenna splitter was paired with them to move the antennas into the middle of the building, and the quality of the remote audio has shown to be greatly improved. In order to keep the connection while moving, the mics power on quickly, connect immediately, and stay connected. In my experience, having 4 of them in the same room has shown no difficulties or problems- The simple and stable nature of Shure makes it a great choice. This is a highly recommended product.
