It's been a bit of a challenge trying to get these to work exactly like XLR cables, I just got off the phone with Sennheiser technical support. Microphones use these devices to transmit audio signals. There is much more heat in a speaker signal. In other words, if you don't have your speakers cranked, then these will work just fine. I use them at cocktail hours and weddings for speeches. I have used them for louder applications as well. This is what they fail at The sound of crackling and popping is very loud.

I am a HUGE Sennheiser fan. Although this is a big deal for me in most situations, I love how it sounds in it. There is noise when I perform in a restaurant with TVs and a small patio filled with people on their phones, and I find that to be While I seem to have no problem with it when I rehearse and in other circumstances, I've switched back to using an XLR cable for my regular gigs at this venue. Wireless one-to-one communication works well with this device. I recommend it highly. It is possible to have a remote speaker and send a direct signal to it using these devices. It's also easy to switch from a wired mic to a wireless mic, which is very convenient. It is best to have line of sight with them. There is an interruption if you move too far away or if there is a hard object standing between the signal and you. I thus gave the phone four stars. There have been so many times already that I have used this set! This pair goes great with my XSW The bathroom is also a lavatory.
