Its frequency response is similar to that of the legendary Beta 58, but it is more extended and smooth. It's definitely more detailed than the SM58, which I'll compare it to because of the price (it's not even close). Looking at the frequency response, it looks EXTREMELY similar to a U47, though I'm not claiming it's qualitatively identical. It's all about tone, and the tonality is nearly identical in both cases. I can't think of anything better for $100 for vocals or spoken word, though it's tuned specifically for vocals. Its vocal tuning is to roll off siblance, which I find to be a turn on, but some people prefer a little siblance for spoken word to make it more true to life. Personally, I like it GONE because I want a smooth sound that doesn't fatigue the listener for spoken word, as well as vocals, so this is ideal. Furthermore, the frequencies of handling noise that do get through are lower and easier to remove from a mix with the sm58, so I believe it balances out. Overall, there's a reason Billie Eilish has been performing this live so frequently recently.
I really like the depth and clarity of this piece. I use mine to live stream concerts and classes on Zoom, and it picks up my voice well without requiring me to be in close proximity. A fantastic microphone at a great price.
It was a gift for my husband, and he absolutely adored it. He stated that the sound was appealing to him.
It has a pattern that is similar to a beta 58a, but it is tighter. This is an excellent microphone.
This mic is incredible; it's great for live vocals and sounds fantastic on the snare.
It's a great bundle, and it's exactly what I need for my home studio.
The mic is working well, and there are no more low-frequency noises. boxines must come to an end.
