Sonicware Liven is being used for this. Ensures a comfortable fit While I'm not using it for the Akai MPK, I'm very happy with it for other purposes. It's for a Sonicware Liven 8 that I'm using. It warps a little and fits snugly in place, with enough room for an AC adapter, an adapter, and my aux-to-stereo cable. The case is sturdy, and unlike other cases, there is no zipper or anything inside that could harm your gear. I'm going to order a few more of these cases for my other Sonicware and a custom controller in the future. If you have a Sonicware Liven, I strongly suggest this case over the other style (for sp404) that is currently available.
The money was well spent. Although not a full-fledged hard case, it is, as stated, a semi-hard case. It's tough enough to fit in a suitcase or backpack. There is enough room for additional cabling, and it works perfectly.
It's a fantastic hard case at an unbelievable price.
Built to a high standard of quality.
I have a few controllers, some of which I keep in their original packaging and others for which I require a protective case. This is an excellent case. It is compatible with the MPK Mini MK2, MK3, and Play models from AKAI. It may also fit other controllers with dimensions similar to the akai MPK Mini, but I didn't have any to test. (However, as long as the dimensions are comparable to the akai, it should be fine. ) br>br>Material is fine, and the case provides adequate protection against minor bumps and bangs (or minor drops - depending on the situation). Obviously, this is not something you want to do, but it can take a little abuse). Because it is a soft, semi-rigid case that can be crushed if heavy items are stacked on top of it, I would not recommend stacking heavy items on top of it. I'd use this case for light duty protection and storage, as well as basic travel (not check in). It performs as well as any other soft shell case I've used or seen, and it's well worth a look. br>br>In general, when the case is zipped up, there is little to no play. I shook it with all the cables inside and really rattled it, but it didn't move. Investing in one of these cases is well worth it.
