I don't recall the pins having any issues mating with a female socket with round pins because of their shape. However, I did use a plastic cable tie arrangement that I made to keep the connection tight at all times for proper contact, so the shape could have played a role. not sure. To avoid hum from my speakers, I simply needed to ensure that the male and female connectors were properly connected, which I did by tightening the connection with cable ties.
Any of the small 9 pin Bose cables can be extended with this extension cable.
I know it works great for my 535 series 3, but I'm not sure about the 130. I'm not sure where the ends of that are?
If you use a small 9-pin cable, you can extend the reach by 6 feet.

I'm not a big fan of stereos or speakers, so it took me a while to figure out which cord I needed - This arrived promptly and was precisely what I required. I'm very pleased with the seller's assistance.
A Bose V25 5 is in my possession. The receiver had to be moved 2 feet over because there was only one surround system. I needed an extension because my cable was too short. I'm picky about audio quality, so I was worried that an extra 6 feet would degrade the signal (despite the fact that Bose isn't exactly a high-end system). Instead of 6, I would have liked 2 or 3 feet of cable. It had no effect on the sound. It gets two thumbs up from me. It was a little pricey, but I suppose it's a name-brand item designed to work with the Bose connector.
For our newly finished basement, we purchased a new Bose Lifestyle 535 Series II sound system. The system's subwoofer-to-receiver cable is only 25 feet long. Because our sub is hidden behind our couch, we had to run the cable up the wall, through the ceiling, and down to the sub. The cord was not long enough to reach the other side. It also blew my mind that Bose no longer sells one. This cable is ideal for our needs, and we haven't experienced any loss in sound or performance. This item was compatible with my Logitech speakers, which included a subwoofer. This was a unique fit, but it was perfect. They look like Bose speakers, so I'm guessing they're genuine. Although the speakers are older, the sound quality is still excellent, and I did require an extension cord. Mfg advised against adding an extension to the internet because it could cause sound problems, but this was not the case for me!.
