This is my fourth keyboard; I also own a Yamaha digital piano, a Yamaha S90ES synthesizer, and another music keyboard
5/5

I have a musical channel on YouTube where I discuss keyboards and ukuleles. I'm most passionate about assisting others in their musical endeavors. I purchased this keyboard to see if someone could learn to play it and progress to a digital piano within a year or two. I've come to the conclusion that the answer is Yes! Rich Davisbr>br>After playing this and my other keyboards for five months after I acquired them, I've decided it's the perfect entry keyboard. I really enjoy playing it and have no issues with it. Learn to play on this, then upgrade to a digital piano that you'll have for years.

BEFORE YOU BUY, READ THIS REVIEW
5/5

So, this keyboard is without a doubt one of the nicest for the money, which is why I'm giving it five stars! Having said that, IT DOES NOT COME WITH A POWER CORD! Although the listing does not state that it does, I assumed it did and had to purchase one after we received it and realized that we needed one if we didn't want to use batteries! So please do yourself a favor and get a cord for this keyboard!!.

to those who are interested in purchasing this: While this is a good first piano, keep in mind that there is no difference between light and hard touch, there is no sustain, the keys are loud and have a plastic sound, and it is smaller than an average piano; however, for an absolute beginner like me, it works great, has a lot of sounds and features, and teaches the basics
4/5

It won't have the same feel as a real piano, however.

For the money, this is a fantastic keyboard
5/5

I needed a simple keyboard for my audio setup, and the Yamaha fits the bill perfectly; I'm using it with my Korg Kaoss Pad, Pioneer RMX 500, and Boss RC-2000. Loop Station 505. For studio playback, these are connected to the auxiliary channel on my Pioneer DJ deck. The keyboard's onboard voice bank produces fantastic sounds, and the setup I'm using allows me to create unreal synthesizer effects. It's great for recording, and I'm thinking about hooking it up to a talk box for some cool voice effects.

The adapter cannot be returned if the keyboard is returned! CAUTION! This adapter was purchased in conjunction with the keyboard (it was available as a package deal)
3/5

Due to a duplicate order, I initiated a product return, and discovered that the keyboard could be returned but not the adapter. What am I going to do with a power adapter that I won't be able to use? This transaction has made me very angry! Keyboard with a Great Sound - This is what I use for my Rock Band gigs
5/5

I'm a semi-pro guitarist in a touring classic rock band, and we wanted to add some songs with keys, so I volunteered to play instead of hiring an extra musician because I've always "noodled" on keyboards. I bought this keyboard for our rehearsal room with the intention of eventually upgrading to a professional synthesizer for live performances. I quickly discovered that this keyboard was up to the task of gigging, and it did so admirably. The sound of the piano is incredible. The organs have the ability to imitate a B3 tone. The strings are nice and warm. The brass is gleaming. The synth sounds can be used to play almost any song. When I use the headphones/line out jack on our large PA system, it sounds amazing. I can see why a classical pianist wouldn't like it because of the lack of touch sensitivity, but for a rock band, it's perfect. It's also light as a feather. For me, this is a clear winner!.

The sound and quality are excellent
5/5

I returned two other, less expensive keyboards because the sound was not to my liking. This keyboard has excellent sound and a plethora of features that I will almost certainly never use. There are other professional keyboards available, but this one is ideal for learning to play the piano or keyboard, and I believe it is more than adequate for beginners and beyond.

It's stunning! Beautiful tone, which comes in handy when I need to move around with a keyboard; however, the larger one was heavy, and I was afraid I'd drop it
5/5

This allows me to practice when my grandchildren are running around and I don't have to worry about them getting hurt. My favorite is the Yamaha brand. I'm confident that I'll get a good instrument.
