Yes. Purchase the new Rocksmith remaster if he wishes to learn. It teaches him how to play at his own pace and is a fun game.
This is a full-sized electric guitar, to be sure.
It sounds fantastic to me. It's fantastic once you've got it dialed in. Although the amplifier is small, the sound it produces is larger than its size.
I know this is an old question, but for anyone who is reading it for the first time, there is one thing you can do to significantly reduce the volume. A headphone jack is included on the small amplifier that comes with it. This leak allows you to completely silence the sound when it is bothering neighbors. You'd need headphones with a larger plug on the end, or you could buy an adapter like I did. The adapters are cheap, but they'll do the job, and the sound will be fantastic when you're playing.

Even if the item is PRIME, Zeny does not accept returns. You can look up the return policy online, and it says to contact the company for more information, but I can tell you that they do not accept returns, even if the item is defective; we emailed them and never received a response. So you're on your own if you decide to buy this. br>br>In less than two weeks, the cord connecting the guitar and the amp snapped. It appeared to be in good working order until it suddenly stopped. I was careful not to pull on it, and I always pulled by the plug rather than the cord; now I'll have to spend money on a new, high-quality cord. br>br>The strap is cheap and cuts into the shoulders. It's adequate for the purpose and does a good job of supporting the guitar while playing, but I can tell the difference now that I have a new strap. This strap is simply a woven nylon strap with no padding. br>br>The guitar neck had a slight curve to it, but it was enough to require more pressure near the body and less near the head. This resulted in unbalanced play, and the hard pressing near the body caused finger aches. br>br>The bag can be used and is acceptable. It's extremely thin and, once again, very basic. It's useful for keeping dust out and for easy storage, but it's not recommended for traveling with the guitar because it doesn't have any padding to protect against bumps and falls. br>br>The Amp is the best part of this package. It's a ten-watt amplifier, and it sounds great. There are numerous controls for adjusting the sound, including an overdrive button for a true rocker sound. I have no complaints about the amp, and I believe it is a good value considering comparable amps cost at least $20. br>br>**** 8/2020 update It's gotten worse after a little over a month of playing. br> The guitar's cord plug is now occasionally not working. It doesn't appear to be loose, but it won't play music through the amp at certain angles, so we now require it to be at a specific angle in order to play anything from the amp. It's not the cord, because we replaced the included cord with a high-quality cord, but it's the fact that this thing is slowly falling apart.
It was a hit with him. The guitar is extremely attractive - The color blue fades into turquoise. For a 12-year-old, the size is appropriate. When my husband takes it to play himself, it's a little small. ) I think it looks better than the manufacturer's photo, but you might be disappointed if you were hoping for a royal blue or navy color. The construction, on the other hand, is solid, and when tuned properly, it produces a pleasant sound. There are a lot of staples in the packaging, and removing them without ripping the box apart is difficult. For me, these are minor issues. Our son was overjoyed and enjoys playing it with RockSmith on a regular basis. This is an excellent first guitar.
The guitar had only arrived four days prior. It was in excellent condition when it arrived, with no dents. Actually, it's a present for myself; I've recently decided to pick up the guitar again. The amp isn't bad for what it is; in fact, the sound it produces is excellent for a small practice amp. In terms of the tune, I've been playing it for two hours every day and haven't had to retune it yet. It's a fantastic value for money at under $100. All- I am satisfied with my purchase in general. We all know we don't need to spend a lot of money on something on a whim, so don't worry about buying it because it's so cheap. So far, I haven't found any drawbacks to this product, and I'd give it a five-star rating for its excellent quality and adequate sound!.
This guitar was ordered on a Sunday and arrived on a Wednesday, 30 years later. br>This is my first electric guitar, and I'm very excited about it! It has a lot of accessories and features, and it looks and sounds great. The amp is loud enough that I can practice at home without disturbing my neighbors. The price is unbeatable!.
My son's teacher only shaved down the frets and lowered the strings after we brought it to him. He claimed that they were a little too high, and that a child would struggle to keep the strings in place. The bag, cord, and amplifier are all fairly inexpensive, but they work well for the price. All of those items have been replaced so far. The amplifier was not "bad," but it lacked distortion. It's only for the purpose of increasing the volume. However, the teacher stated that after minor adjustments, the guitar should last him a long time.
That guitar is incredible! I may be terrible at playing the guitar, but that isn't the fault of the guitar; I'm still learning, and this appears to be a good place to start. Rocksmith is a breeze to use! By the way, it's an excellent tool for teaching guitar and bass.
If you're just starting out and don't have much experience, this is the guitar for you. Everything is made super simple in this bundle, so you can start playing right away. The guitar itself is basic and unremarkable, but it performs admirably for the money, and I've had no issues with it in the few months I've owned it. br>br>As an aside, I bought this guitar to use with Rocksmith, a videogame similar to Guitar Hero that uses a real guitar to teach you real skills. So far, it's been a lot of fun, and learning from the ground up has been fantastic.
