Having my first electric guitar has been so exciting! I even want to practice on it! There is about the right amount of weight here and the strings hold their tune a lot, even though these are new. I'm pleased to be pleasantly surprised by it. The Fender Squire that I thought I was going to get along with all kinds of other stuff that I'd have to replace in the first few weeks surprised me. Considering its price, this is one of the best guitars on the market today. They stay in pretty good tune, so only a tiny amount of tuning is needed before playing. As far as I could tell, the strings that came with mine were of good quality. I suggest investing a little more money into a better guitar if you are expecting this to sound and play like a $2000 Fender Stratocaster. The only downside to this is that if you want to learn guitar, this isn't a bad option since it gives you a good foundation, and it won't break.
