The guitar is well-made and has a nice, clear tone. It's well worth the money, and I believe it would be beneficial to someone who is enrolled in a conservatory or music school. My only gripe is with the advertising rather than with the guitar. In the section titled: This item's description: According to it, "You have the option of solid spruce or American cedar. " It was impossible to make a decision. If you're going to say there's a choice, include a choice option. br>br>On the other hand, I have no complaints about the guitar, which arrived in two days. I'm 60 years old and have been playing guitar since the age of 12. I gave it five stars because it's a beginner's instrument, but it's really more of an intermediate instrument. The tone and clarity of the notes would be extremely beneficial to a beginner, but this is an instrument you'd want to keep and care for for many years. Finally, a word about It didn't need to be set up when it arrived. It had been meticulously set up and was ready to go.
Four stars because I needed a bone saddle and setup, but it made a significant difference. It's possible that I was fortunate. On the same chord progression, I can get a variety of subtle sounds, so this is a great mid-priced guitar. I had to do some work on it, but I'm very pleased with the result.
My wife likes guitars, even though I don't know much about them. For the money, it appears to be a good deal.
For the money, this is an excellent classical guitar: Sound is good, action is good, and the fit and finish is good. Chicago Music Exchange provided excellent delivery and service.
