Yes. I purchased one for my Granddaughter, and it was a success. Because it's a classical guitar, finger picking is a breeze. She also employed the use of a pick. It was a lot of fun to watch her sing and strum at a million miles per hour. For a beginner, the quality was adequate, and it could be used as a travel guitar.
It does not come with a case.
There isn't a single truss rod to be found.
The one we bought has a glossy top. It's not particularly glossy, but it does have a sheen to it.

I was taken aback by what I hadn't expected, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It was only delivered yesterday, but because I teach guitar, evaluating the quality of an instrument does not take me long. It's not perfect, but it'll do for now. br>br>It arrived in good condition- packed - The guitar is wrapped in a soft plastic wrap before being boxed and then placed inside another box. I found no signs of shipping damage, and it arrived about a week before Christmas. The guitar has a gleaming lacquer finish, machine tuning pegs that work well, just-right action at the frets near the body, and solid construction, but what surprised me the most after tuning it up was the voice it had. It had a nice loud voice for a small, brand-new, inexpensive guitar, and hopefully it will improve with age. br>br>So far, I've only found two areas where things could be better: If the bass strings (E,A,D) are not fretted close to the leading fret, they buzz slightly when fretted on the lower frets near the head of the guitar (only teachers and experienced guitarists will know what I'm talking about). I believe it is simply due to the cheap strings that came with it, or that the nut may require a slight adjustment, but I'm not concerned because I believe that with a good set of quality strings, this issue will be resolved. And even if it doesn't, I'll still be okay. I'm not bothered by it because the buzz is barely audible, and I'm always on the lookout for odd noises. The only other thing I didn't like about the instrument was that the bridge was unfinished. This is only a cosmetic issue and has no bearing on the instrument's playability. It's stained a nice wood color, but there's no lacquer or finish on it because it was glued onto the soundboard. I'm not sure if I'll polish it or just leave it as is. I'm concerned that if the guitar gets wet, this strip of wood will absorb the water and possibly warp because it has no protection. It'll be something I need to keep an eye on. br>br>I haven't shown the guitar to my daughter yet - It's actually a present for her birthday, which is just a few days after Christmas. But I gave it a thorough inspection yesterday, wiped it down with a clean cloth, tuned it up, and played it very loudly to see what it would do. I believe it is an excellent purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller guitar. My daughter will most likely continue to study this instrument until she is about 12 years old. Its voice was excellent, particularly for a guitar of this size and price; it is not a toy, but a serious musical instrument. If your child is between the ages of 7 and 11, this is most likely the right guitar for them. br>br>**Another thing to keep in mind for those who are unfamiliar: A NYLON string guitar is what this guitar is. If you're looking for a steel-framed house, you've come to the right place. This is not a stringed guitar. And you should never, ever use steel strings on a nylon-string guitar because the tension will ruin it. It has an unbelievably beautiful tone to it, as well as a lot of volume. This guitar has made an impression on me. It no longer has the buzz it once did, and it is now simply a fantastic guitar. My daughter has been learning this instrument at an incredible rate, and I've played it quite a bit myself because it's such a lovely instrument. I could just have struck it rich with this instrument - This happens from time to time. Other guitars, such as this one, could be vastly inferior, but I doubt it. My daughter performed it at a recital on Sunday, and I can tell she's ready for a full-fledged performance. Now I'm playing a full-sized guitar. It's been a fantastic instrument for her and has served her well. So far, we've purchased two Yamaha guitars (one 1/2 size and the other 3/4 size), and we've been pleased with both. They are extremely popular with the children. The difference in size between the two guitars does not appear to be significant, and the Yamaha 3/4 size guitar appears to be smaller than another 3/4 size non-Yamaha guitar. We have a Yamaha guitar in our possession.

I'm a small person who has finally learned to play the guitar after many years of trying. The only issue I have with this student guitar is that the neck is still too wide for my fingers to stretch across for chords requiring all six strings. Regardless of this issue, I am having a great time with my guitar.

I bought this for my daughter to begin guitar lessons, and despite the fact that I am not an expert, the sounds are fantastic!.
Normally, you'd buy a cheap guitar in the hopes that the neck would be straight and that it would produce a sound good enough for learning (it's a student guitar, after all). br>br>If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words My daughter received this for her seventh birthday, and I'd say the 3/4 size is still a little big for her, but I believe children grow UP rather than DOWN, so it'll fit her fine in the future.
