I don't think so, based on what I've seen.
Nope
It's a standard-sized classical guitar that sounds good and is a good beginner guitar.
It currently lacks a string, but I'm sure I could purchase one and string it myself.

For more than four decades, I've been playing classical guitar. I thought the Yamaha C40 would be a nice full-size guitar for my son to take to college, so I bought it for him. After tuning it, I was pleased to discover such pleasant tones. The majority of classical guitars in that price range are 3/4 size and have poor sound quality. I believe that an upgrade of several hundred dollars would be necessary to obtain something better. This book comes highly recommended.
one in Beijing, one in Mongolia, and one in the United States of America - All three were Flawless and EXACTLY what I was looking for!.
The action was visually appealing right out of the box. I got a lot of mileage out of the guitar I got. I didn't measure it, but the height at the 12th fret seemed to be nearly twice that of the neck. My local guitar repairman filed down the saddle for $25, lowering the action to a more playable level. Overall, it's still a good deal: I like the tone, and the neck is comfortable to hold, but after reading so many reviews about how low the action is, I think I had unrealistic expectations for what it would be like right out of the box. I would still strongly suggest it for the process.
I changed the strings and it worked perfectly. Although I have a few guitars, I am a beginner when it comes to playing them. This is an excellent guitar, especially for the price. I replaced the strings, and it now sounds good enough that I can enjoy playing it. Because of the low action, it's a breeze to play. Even as a beginner, I'm learning to play barred chords quickly and without muting or buzzing because the action is low enough for me. The guitar was shipped in a flimsy cardboard box, but it arrived undamaged, much to my relief (and surprise). The guitar has a lot of sustain and the strings will ring for a long time, but there is no way to adjust the truss rod. Overall, I think this is a good buy, and I would recommend it to others.
The guitar is very nice. I've been playing acoustic guitar as a hobby for a few years, but I only started learning seriously six months ago. My teacher recommended this guitar, and I'm very pleased with it. It has a rich, vibrant sound quality to it. The strings are soft and respond to a light touch. All- For a beginner, it's a stunning guitar.
Great beginner guitar with the tone that anyone looking for in their first classical guitar is looking for. I believe it was dropped once during shipping, but I'm keeping it anyway because if I spend money on something else, I'm sure USPS will drop it again, and it will be unrepairable. It's a lovely guitar that's easy to play and tune. It's a good idea to use D'Addario Pro-Essentials. However, if you use Arte strings, the sound quality will be slightly improved.
" When I was looking at different models, I was a very frugal buyer. I've previously learned to play other musical instruments and am aware that the instrument's quality has a significant impact on how quickly you learn. So I wanted something that cost as little as possible while still allowing me to grow and not obstructing my ability to learn now. br>br>On the first day of Classical, there was a lot of excitement. Our teacher went around the room tuning everyone's guitars for them and getting a chance to see everyone's instruments during Flamenco Guitar class. Another student in the class had purchased the guitar (also from Amazon) and inquired about it with the teacher. He said it was "very good for the price" after playing it for a few minutes. br>br>If you're shopping in this price range, you know you can spend more. However, if you're looking for a great deal, this is something to think about. br>br>Two months later, I still enjoy playing mine and am pleased with how well it sounds. I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
Years ago, I had a C40, which was my first acoustic guitar. I noticed two nicks on the top of the item after unboxing it. I'd say the packaging and guitar have healed nicely, based on the fact that I saw the delivery guy toss the guitar from the truck to the yard before jumping down, picking it up, and handing it to me without any apologies or signs of embarrassment. You'll need a few string packs. If you play every day, these will last about a week. You can't beat the price on this guitar, and I'd recommend it to any beginner.
